Chandrika Ayurvedic, Soap, 2.64 oz

Wow. Just wow. Now...this bar isn't big, but it packs a big punch where it counts. Seven hours later at work, and I can STILL smell this soap faintly on my skin. At first I thought it was a bit strong as I took it out of the wrapper, but it feels wonderful on my skin and I changed my mind about the scent. Very sandlewood-ish and lightly patchouli-ish. I wish it had more of a patchouli scent, but honestly, it didn't take me but a few minutes in the shower to determine that I love this soap. The smell brought me awake and I felt really clean. I'm a fan of the Pre de Provence soap...particularly the Linden variety, but I think I prefer THIS soap. I will definitely be ordering more and in bigger quantity. (Also, I took the bar out of the shower and let it dry so that kids showering, etc would not waste it unnecessarily). Extreme fast shipping. Extremely satisfied.

I admit I was not impressed at first sight. The bar is small, and emitted little scent. But I was in for a surprise! When I use the soap, it has a delicate, very pleasant scent. Chandrika lathers great and rinses totally clean, but without any drying. And I soon realized the size is no issue. It lasts and lasts. As much as I've used the bar, it should be half its size, but I've barely made a dent in it. I really like this bar and will definitely order Chandrika again.

I'll admit right off the bat that I don't follow or know really anything about Ayurveda or Ayurvedic medicine. I'm not hindi and don't practice any part of Hinduism. However, I take showers.This soap is pretty hard, so despite being a relatively small bar, it lasts a pretty long time. The smell is patchouli-ish and frankly is really strong. It stays on you all day long too and doesn't ever reduce in strength. For that reason alone I give it 4 stars instead of 5, just because a slight decline in the power of the scent I think would be welcome, even though I do like the fragrance itself. If you like a real powerful fragrance though, this is for you.

The smell this gives off is kinda spicy, but also unique in a way that when it weakens down somewhat, people are intrigued by it in a public gathering, it perfumes the air around you at its strongest, and it's great to wash your armpits with as it can prevent your deodorant from wearing out as soon, from my experience anyway.I'd recommend this to friends and family!

I was surprised to find that this soap left a residue that irritated my skin. I didn't feel clean.

Looking for a soap for sensitive skin? Buy this. I have never had a soap that my skin liked, ever. My skin is incredibly sensitive to oils and I break out easily. Every single soap leaves my skin feeling incredibly taught and dry. This left my skin only the slightest bit dry but feeling great!! It does not leave a film and you don't feel slippery after washing it off. This is the first soap, ever, to actually CLEAR my skin. I see a noticeable difference after using it in the same day. My husband just came home and said, "wow, your skin cleared up fast. It was a little banged up this morning but now it looks so much better." Even he sees a difference in the same day!! I just jumped on here and bought a case of this soap, ten bars for $13. I'm so happy with this soap!!!

J'adore ce savon ayurvédique. Il sent bon et mousse bien. Il rend la peau douce et ne la tire pas. Il a un bon format pour une bonne prise en main. Il est crémeux mais ne fonds pas inutilement. J'adhère totalement à ce savon vert. Vendeur très sérieux. Je recommande ce produit.
