Scotts Turf Builder Grass Seed Argentine Bahiagrass, Excellent Heat & Drought Resistance, 5 lbs.

About 3 weeks post-planting, I figured out how to make these seeds germinate in the south Texas heat. The dirt really needs to be soaked so that it looks wet/dark 24/7 for several days in a row. I was watering twice a day but after each watering the water had evaporated in about 2 hours. So one day I set the hose out there for 8 straight hours, moving it around to get the whole area. Got a little rain too and did a few more spot soakings. 5 days later I'm seeing several patches of seedlings. Will update in a few weeks.UPDATE: Before and after pics added. I let the weeds grow alongside the seedlings and mowed once the grass patches were well rooted. This is a mixture of grass and weeds because the grass is not mature enough to use weed killer yet. Will update the final pic in a few months.

Grass did not grow, not one sprig, area was clean of all debris aerated and prepped

well i am haveing great results,i see new grass emergeing from my plant bahia grass seeds. After 2 weeks my back yard has greene single leaves showing up. 10*

Planted 2.4 weeks ago. Seems to be doing well. We added some topsoil to our sandy yard and kept it watered 3 as a day

A safe bet when purchasing grass seed, always germinates and good quality

After trying multiple brands, this was the clear winner. Most seeds germinated and started to grow healthy grass. I was so happy with the growth that I bought a second one.

I ordered the larger seed count bag, and man what a disappointment! Only 10-20% of the seeds germinated and grew. I have used this in the past with great success, but this time barely any seeds grew. I used the same Kellogg topper soil and have the sprinklers set on auto timers. I watered for over a month and barely any seeds grew germinated. Maybe I got a bad batch because I have used this in the past, but incredibly disappointing results for the money spent.
