dbtech Digital to Analog Audio converter

I bought this to use an older DVD player on a digital TV. It does not work for that. It cannot convert a signal. Apparently, it can convey a digital signal to an analog device, though I am skeptical as to how well it would do that, since further research reveals that the two signals are significantly different.The descriptions and pictures on these listings need to be more clear.Now I am paying $6 in shipping to return a useless product. Buyer Beware!

Do not purchase! Does not work! I plugged mine into my apple tv and then into my television and nothing. I have another convertor box that when plugged into same plugs works great, so i was a little sceptical that this would convert the signal with no additional box or power required and turns out i was right.

Tried to hook this up to an older TV, in order to hook up Roku. Had read reviews that were half and half, then realized half of them must be lying..! If you are trying to view true HD content on a Roku, you Have to Have a HDCP compliant wire.. & this is not what you are looking for. - Just asked the engineer husband what it would work for, he says he doesn't even know!! Please, please do your research before ordering these kind of wires! Even then, make sure they have a great return policy!!

I couldn't get this to work at all. We bought it to hook up an X-box one to an older RCA only TV. I tried hooking this up multiple ways: HDMI out to RCA in (on TV) then RCA out to HDMI in (on TV). It didn't work either way. Tried it on multiple devices.

This item is a scam that does not work. HDMI needs a converter. I found this out after buying this and then trouble shooting. Does not work/will not work.

This cable does not convert analog Red/White/Yellow connector output from an old DVD player to HDMI input to a newer TV or monitor. Since this is the purpose for which I bought it, it is useless.

Didn't work to connect my DVD to HD tv. Bad enough that it didn't work, but when I tried to disconnect the RCA cable end from the DVD, the metal part of the white piece of the cable cheaply broke off and got stuck in the DVD.

This item did not work. I could not get it to convert hdmi to an older tv. Both devices work just fine otherwise so it must be this converter. Very disappointed
