Fingerprint Padlock

I bought new and it looked used. Box wasn't sealed and there was no wrap around the black glossy part of the lock. When I looked at it, it was dirty and there was stuff in the crevices.Now getting to the lock... It works perfectly so far. Fingerprint on the lock is fine and the app working. I will say it doesn't work when you use your phone number to register. Email only and it comes in Asian writing. Looks like fraud but all you need from that email is the 4 digit code.Updating feature doesn't work on the app.. not sure if there are updates for the lock or if it's for another item.I'm giving this 4 cause it was used. Don't really care though cause it's going in my garage... Just saying it should be new if I buy newUPDATE... It only works if you have the phone with you. I tried many times without and nothing. You put your fingerprint and it will blink red. Once you open the app, it syncs the lock and app and then you can use your fingerprint or the app unlock button.

This is an amazing, relatively new product with many capabilities for multiple trusted users. The padlock can be unlocked with an application on a Bluetooth device or with fingerprints. You will need a smart phone or other Bluetooth device with CR code reading capability to set it and its application up.The only weakness with this new product is that the user manual that comes with it is inadequate except for only the tech savvy. The company, Kameida, is very aware of this deficiency and is working on an improved manual explaining all the application and Padlock capabilities. Furthermore, I was very impressed with how Kameida worked with me to resolve the situation. They promptly (as in a matter of minutes) answered my many questions via e-mail. In fact, they e-mailed me before I received the product offering assistance.I have two reasons for only 4 stars: 1. I don’t give any product five stars until I’ve used it a year or so to prove its reliability. 2. It took a while to set up because the user manual did not adequately describe set up, application menus, and Padlock LED indications.

This is really what I need. I keep losing keys or forgetting the passwords especially after a period of time not using my other padlocks. This one helps with these issues by allowing me to use my fingerprints. How convenient! To set up this padlock, I need to download a smartphone app, set up an account, connect to the padlock via bluetooth, and then set up my fingerprints. This process takes me around 5-10 minutes. However, after that, I can open this lock with my fingerprints even when my phone is turned off. From now on, I will not be the one who needs to ask the manager at the gym for a bolt cutter.I did not give a 5 star is because of the poor packaging quality. As you can see in the picture I upload, the inner padding around the lock is too big and does not fit the lock well. Therefore the lock was moving around during shipping. The box, lock, and the instruction manual look a little dirty. They need to improve their quality control.Updated: After using this lock for a few days now, it is really easy to use. I decide to change it to a 5 star rating.

The app won't connect to the padlock and won't give an error if GPS is off with my phone running Android 8.1. It'll turn on Bluetooth if it's off, but not GPS (unlike other apps like Google Maps which will prompt you to turn it on). I returned one padlock thinking it was broken, but when the free replacement was similarly broken, I thought about it some more and remembered GPS was one of the three permissions the app. (For privacy and power saving, I leave GPS off unless I need to use Google Maps when driving.)Once I got the padlock connected to the app, I was able to easily register my fingerprints, and unlocking the padlock by fingerprint worked fine. As others have mentioned, the whole setup process could be improved, especially the app giving vocal prompts in Chinese during fingerprint registration. :-) I'll update this review if necessary after I've used the padlock for a while.

I’m on the fence about the this product! The set-up process should have been simple yet presented a few issues! Honestly, I’m not impressed, this item is just ok! It works but there are times when I have to make more than one attempt to get it to open, it’s not horrible just could be better!

I really like it, it is very reassuring to have the gate locked. However, it has rained twice since I bought it and will not work during or after the rain. It's like it gets wet and needs to dry out for a day before it will work again. It says it's for outdoors.

First impression is that the lock is awesome, looks good and works great, but last night the battery was at 100% and this morning I woke up with at 57% and that’s a deal breaker for me, so unless I’m contacted by seller soon to fix this issue than I will be returningUPDATE: Customer service is the best and replaced my lock and the battery issues I was having seems to be much much better so far, great product and amazing customer service

product quality is good. features are good and the application is very nice.I liked the "sharing with friends" feature a lot.However, it is very bulky. We need a smaller version of this...
