I don't normally leave reviews on Amazon, but I was so impressed with this product that I had to take the time to tell you how it worked out for me.I have been using using an older style ultrasonic cleaner for close to 10 years and keep it in my garage to clean small to medium sized parts for my go kart engine and any other object that the is "gunked up". Once a month my wife also puts all of her jewelry in a dish and hands it to me for my "honey do" job of cleaning her rings, earrings and bracelets.My current ultrasonic cleaner finally died and I started searching for a new one and noticed that a few of the higher priced units had two new functions on them which were called a Sweep and a Degas Function. I knew nothing about what these functions were used for, but thought it would be a good idea to do some research to see if they were important with ultrasonic cleaning or not as I wanted to make an educated decision on what would be a wise purchase.My research on these functions proved Very Interesting and I decided that no matter what ultrasonic cleaner I purchased, it would have to have these two new functions. The problem I found was that most all of the ultrasonic cleaners I looked at with these functions were Quite Expensive "until" I found that X-Tronic had 3 sizes with these functions at reasonable prices.Now, to make my long story a little shorter, I ordered the 2 Liter unit from Amazon and will tell you that the ultrasonic cleaner I received from these folks was packaged beautifully to avoid damage, the unit itself was solid and very well built and the results I received from using it after 4 days were nothing short of fantastic compared to how my other unit cleaned.I use the Degas function to make sure that my cleaning solution is totally mixed in with the water and I also turn on the Sweep function every time I clean an object which, in my opinion, will be 100% essential from now on. I will also tell you that I asked my wife (believe it or not) if I could clean her jewelry to see what she thought and there is no doubt in my mind that her jewelry came out at least 150% more shiny/brilliant than ever before. When I handed the jewelry back to my wife, she could not believe how much better it looked compared to all of the times I had cleaned it with my other cleaner.Here's my Pros:The Instructions were very entailed and covered every aspect of ultrasonic cleaningThe unit is 100% Stainless Steel very solid constructionVery easy to program the unit - Please read the instructions on programming the unit1 Year Guarantee with Parts & Labor Included - they must trust their productsBest Pro: the Sweep & Degas Functions - you cannot do without these once you use themMy Cons:Nothing yet, but if I ever have a problem I will edit my review.One last "thing" - if you are planning on purchasing a new ultrasonic cleaner, Make Sure and purchase one with the Sweep & Degas Function; you won't be sorry!

I make homemade lipospheric Vitamin C and this unit was great at first but in less than 4 months use (once every 2 weeks or about 8 times), it has died. Very pricy to have died so fast. Will contact them to see what they will do. May have to just buy and Elma. I have had 2 of these stainless steel units and this died the fastest and cost the most. I have a very old cheap one that still works but it is too small for an optimal volume without double batches and hand mixing.Update. I contacted X-Tronics and they are amazingly responsive and replaced the unit with a shipping label to return the failed unit. The new unit seems to be acting more "robust" than the prior unit. Thus I am happy for the quick service. Hope these last as it works great for me.

I recently decided to try my hand at ultrasonic record cleaning and am extremely happy with this machine. It works exactly as described and the sweep and degas functions are wonderful. There are lots of resources on the web for rigging up an apparatus for spinning a record in an ultrasonic bath so I won't go into that here. Basically I spin a record slowly in the bath for about 5 minutes and then vacuum it dry. The results are absolutely worth the trouble because you truly get razor sharp detail with about as minimal surface noise as I've ever heard. It also gives a noticeable improvement in vocal depth, as if the singer decided to clear his/her throat. Needless to say I will be using this machine to clean a few crates of records over the next couple of months and will report back later on its durability. So far very pleased.Edit: 7/9/17My current/original unit has ceased to run the ultrasonic tranducers. I used it maybe every other weekend since I got it in December of last year. It powers up but nothing happens when I hit the start button. According to their website there is a three year repair guarantee (customer pays all shipping). I will report back on how they handle this.
