As an electrician, these are priceless. I bought these for my own personal use and have already tested the durability and flexibility while going fishing in my walls and attic.This style "Glow Rod" is superior to the Klein orange "fish sticks". The orange type are much thicker, less flexible, no glow, and can be a hindrance when multiple rods are attached and you're trying to whip them around at an extended distance. They're just too heavy sometimes.Pros- Very slim profile- Flexibility is fantastic- Medium abrasion resistance- Good glow retention.- The 2 half length sections are invaluable- Standard threading for big brand compatibility, for hooks and leaders.Cons- Pricey

Needed to run some wire down walls for a new security system, these glow rods helped a ton.

When deciding which flexible rod kit to purchase, I noticed that a number of purchasers were complaining about getting splinters from the fiberglass rods. I stupidly ignored this. The Jameson 7-36-23T Fiberglass Glow Rod Kit did the job it was intended for and allowed me to run a 2.1 HDMI cable down a ceiling chase but I ended up with a whole load of splinters on my hands and arms. Strongly suggest you wear gloves while using this product.

I used this product to run ethernet cable 17 feet inside the porch soffit. I previously tried to use the fish tape but it kept getting bunched up. I attached the ethernet cable to the first rod and then connected additional rods and pushed the rods and cable across the soffiit. I drilled a small 1 inch hole on the underside of the soffit on the outside of the house and pulled the wire down.

I didn't read the product descriptions well enough. I assumed I'd be getting all shirt rods thar would connect together. That's my fault, they're very durable and long runs are made considerably easier. It seems like this is best purchased as a set. There are times when you have short runs and you need shorter rods. Buying two makes more sense. Great product!
