An Outstanding Versatile Thrower
Overall takeaway:• An outstanding light for those of you who primarily want a thrower flashlight, with EDC form-factor and versatility with on-board USB charging, and are not bothered by bright-white optics and CRI <90.• For someone who has over 100 flashlights in his collection, this light impressed me by its overall design, features, and pricepoint; I was disappointed slightly by the optics as I generally favor warmer, high CRI EDC lights that have smoother mixed-beam optics.Pros:• Compact 18650 form factor• Lightweight• Durable• Magnetic tail cap with smooth cut for lanyard• Illuminated rubber button with battery charge status• USB-C charging port• While primarily a thrower, there is a mixed beam with lots of usable flood• Knurling & overall design factor• Removable two-way clip that allows for deep-pocket carry• Affordable price point• Simple UICons:• Would prefer 5000k to 6500k for EDC, at the sacrifice of lower lumens• While magnetic tail-cap is great for EDC, it’s a bit of a mismatch for its application given that the light is a thrower which mostly lends itself to outdoor applications.• The halo at the edges of the beam are annoying when using indoors; they are rather unnoticeable when used in its primary thrower application, outdoorsMy feedback to Sofirn to make this light even better:• Use an orange peel reflector• Swap the LED with a 5000k tint• Change the crown bezel to a smooth circular one to improve optics• Model the optics around the Thrunite tn12

Excellent EDC Flashlight with long range and well spaced modes
This is the perfect sized flashlight for everyday use. It's compact enough to stash in your pocket with the deep carry clip, and more than capable of lighting up anything you need it for.It has a throwy beam profile with the deep reflector and an SFT-25R emitter. Much more useful than many pocket sized flood lights. It can go from 1 lumen moonlight mode for reading something in the dark to 1450 lumens on turbo for long range searching up to 1300 ft away. The SR12 has a very nice knurling pattern for grip, a magnetic tailcap and 2 way clip for hands free use, and a glow in the dark O-ring.The beam profile and brightness are close to the Sofirn IF22A, but the advantage is you can stick this one in your pocket and forget about it.It also has a very useful feature of a 4-click lockout since its a side switch and could accidentally turn on in your pocket.Overall excellent build quality and features for a small 18650 flashlight with long range capabilities.

More of the Same (In a Good Way)
The Sofirn SR12 doesn’t reinvent the wheel, but honestly, it doesn’t need to. If you’ve used a Sofirn or Wurkkos light before, you’ll feel right at home here. It’s got a strong build, a simple UI, and just enough tweaks to keep things interesting. The glow ring at the head is a nice touch for spotting it in the dark, and the reversible pocket clip is always a welcome addition. This thing feels solid in the hand, with a grip that reminds me more of what you’d find on some Nitecore offerings—with much better texture over prior sofrin lights I've used. It’s relatively compact but a bit too big for shorts in my opinion and better served as a utility light / truck light. The magnetic tailcap is strong and makes it easy to go hands-free. The charging port is well-integrated, but the rubber cover is something I imagine will get lost over time. It would be nice to see a sliding cover for the port. No complicated button sequences or Morse code-level programming here—the UI is straightforward, which some will love (especially if you find Anduril-style lights a bit much). The side button is easy to find, and mode switching is intuitive. This is a thrower-style light, so you get a bright hotspot with some usable spill. The LED is cool white, which adds brightness but won’t be everyone’s cup of tea. USB-C charging is a nice convenience, and battery life holds up well. The SR12 is more of an evolution than a revolution. It’s a no-nonsense, well-built flashlight that does what it’s supposed to do. I think it's worth a look especially if you don't have prior generations of their lights.Pros:Compact and well-builtStrong magnetic tailcapUSB-C chargingBright, focused beamGlow ring for visibilityGrippy knurlingCons:Cool white LED (I tend to prefer a bit warmer in color temp)Lockout function can be finicky (Quad click)Rubber charging port coverSlightly bulky for pocket carry

Seems like a good flashlight.
Had for several weeks so far so good like the lanyard attached to carabiner connect to belt loop then clip to front pocket makes more sense than putting into a sheath on my belt.
