I wanted to take the time and write a review on this starter because it really is fantastic!I tried to make my own sourdough starter & it just wasn’t happeningI was really about to give up on my sourdough baking journey before I even got out of the gateI had heard about a few other starters but decided to search Amazon to see what I could findAfter carefully researching I decided on“Made With Loave” & boy am I glad I found them!This starter is wonderfulThe instructions are easy to follow & within 4 days I had starter & was ready to bakeI highly recommend this productHappy Baking!

Perfect! Easy to start & still going strong after 1-2 months. Makes tasty breads too!Following the instructions, this was bubbling after 1-2 days. I was using whole wheat, so it was faster, but I was very pleased.It’s a pretty good value for the money. It worked fast.Why am I using whole wheat? I dislike the smell & taste of sourdough bread if it isn’t whole wheat or rye. This way I get the benefits of sourdough bread and can find ways to use whole grains for taste that I prefer. The starter itself still smells like sourdough, but the taste…makes me extra happy.

5 stars for the ACTUAL starter, which is super active and amazing! 1 star off because WTH is wrong with the instructions asking me to add in so much water? 45g water and then just 20g of flour? And then the rest of the time it was half flour and half water, but my starter was so runny by day 3 that I had to ONLY add in flour to even it out.It worked out in the end though. I just kind of figured out the right ratios. I would suggest looking online at how your starter is supposed to look on day 2/3 because mine looked like soup using the ratios on the instructions given.
