1 Page at a Time: A Daily Creative Companion

Accessible, Thought-Provoking, Funny, Wonderful. The Perfect Prompted Journal for Everyone.
I think I've literally purchased about ten of these for myself and those around me so that in itself speaks to how incredible this book is.As an independent artist who has struggled with finding her place in the world, Adam's various products have proved invaluable to me. I'm not sure how I first came about his work, but my first experience with Adam J. Kurtz was this journal. Though I didn't manage to finish my first time through in a year, this journal really made me look into myself and at the world around me with a new perspective. Don't get me wrong. This isn't some sort of daily devotional filled with prompts to make you write paragraphs upon paragraphs of how you aim to be a better person, though you may find that something in this book spurs you to do so anyway.Every page in this book feels like a text from a friend. Sometimes the prompts are silly, sometimes they're open-ended, sometimes they hit something deeper than you expected to reach in a little creative journal like this. No matter what the prompt is, it will be something that you can do in your own way that may spark something more from you or just be a nice activity for your day.I've given copies of this to my friends, co-workers, and family, and they all love it. Whether you consider yourself a "creative type" or not, each page of this book is a great addition to your day.

It's Awesome. If You Buy This, You'll be Awesome, too!
I've been a big fan of Adam's stuff for quite some time and I was so excited to hear that he was finally coming out with a book. I've been using his calendar/planner since the beginning of the year and I still find myself having fun with it every day. I knew a book would be no different.First off, I quite adore his style. His writing is witty. His sketches are fun and whimsical. He always keeps me guessing about what's on the next page. I'm always excited to get to the next day. It's almost a challenge to keep myself from peeking ahead sometimes. This type of book--the journal prompt, sketchy, inspiration-filled, page-a-day books--is honestly a-dime-a-dozen, but Adam's book is different. Don't get me wrong. He still has tons of creativity, inspiration, motivation, and wit on each page, of course. But there is one huge difference: he helps you learn more about yourself. While some pages are just goofy and fun to fill in, may prompts will make you stop and think. In conclusion, this book is awesome. If you fill it out, you will be awesome, too.(Also I think it's the absolute cutest thing ever that his mom wrote a review and let everyone know her son is the bomb. Cutest. Thing. Ever.)

Better for a younger person.
Despite entries about jobs and things being in the past, this seems more suited for a teenager, which is why I gave it to my 16-year-old niece for Christmas. She had a strange reaction to it while unwrapping it, but that's probably more to do with her being a drama princess than the book itself. I hope she likes it, although it will require her using a writing instrument rather than the keyboard on her phone. I gave her some gel pens, so maybe something will happen. Some of the pages/ideas looked like fun, but I personally wouldn't want to invest much time in most of it.

YES
This is such an awesome little book! The title of this is very straightforward: 1 page at a time. Just started working on this on the 1st of January, I'm only 6 pages in, but I couldn't help myself from taking a peek at the pages that lie head! This is a very cool and fun way to check in with yourself every day; I've been forward to my time with this book at the end of each day this week!! It's the best way to either reflect or get my mind off the little things that irk me. I first saw this at an Urban Outfitters, and I didn't purchase it on the spot, but every day after I Wish I had. Since I found myself thinking about it so often, I knew I had to order one (and one for my best friend as well, this makes for a great gift!) Do yourself a favor and order this must-buy!

1 experience at a time.
I bought this book thinking it would be a change to my regular way of journaling. I felt this would be a refreshing s fun way to journal, and it is; however, it can seems a bit weird and some of the actions it tells you to take baffle me. Like 'fill a page with pop up ads'. Note this journal is suppose to take you away from social media and the computer, but what it seems to do is reference it a lot. I want to say he must be in his late 20's to early 30's b/c that generation cannot stay away from social media. I even had one page where it said share the page and then hashtag it ask they could see it.. I mean cool and all but I really thought this journal was going to be a bit more creative. Granted I have only been writing in it a lil over a month(started sept15), still I thought it would be a bit better. But I'm gonna stick it out and continue to write or draw or whatever he has me do for the remainder of the 365 days. All in all its cool, but I'm not running to buy it again. It's been an experience thus far. I must say I do look forward to what the next page to tell me what to do. That's what makes it fun whether I like it or not the mystery is cool.. if you don't read ahead that is..lol Thus it makes it a different experience every day.

What you'll find out about yourself if worth every penny spent
There's so much I can say about this book. I've always been artsy, but this has expanded my imagination in ways I've never thought of. It's helped me through hard, sad, and anxiety filled days by just getting me out of my head and thinking and looking at things in a different way. It's a funny, cute and inspiring book that has brought me closer to myself and the people around me. Definitely a great gift. Was not disappointed when I purchased, and will continue to purchase each year.-Anne Palange

Art Therapy!
Great way to bring creativity to your day to day routine! I didn’t make it the full 365 pages but I’ve never been good at completing journals/agendas. Great gift for a young artist! (Or old)

Such a fun, awesome and creative book
A really awesome book with loads of activities to help bring back good memories and think of new ideas for more adventures. I used it to help with my mental health and it's a great alternative to keep my brain busy rather than being on my phone. Would definitely recommend!

It's sweet and kind. You just feel better while dong this things, even if its just for the moment, but I bet at the end of the books it's for the whole day. Really sweet tasks, just cool!
