Ted Lasso: The Richmond Way [DVD] [2020]

I'm so excited that there is a way to watch Ted Lasso without having apple tv subscription. You cannot stream it anywhere else or purchase it to stream so DVD's were the next best thing. All my DVD's came in perfect shape and played perfectly. It even came with my very own Believe poster. No complaints here. Just an amazingly written, inspiring, funny show to entertain everyone.

We bought the series because it has life lessons for everyone. You must get pass some strong language but it’s worth it.

I did not have a chance to watch Ted Lasso when it first came out, but I was able to watch it streaming on cable. Now I know why people were raving about this show. My son is also a covert so I am gifting this to him. Every time I watch it, I get more out of it. I’m so glad there will soon be another season.

It is so incredibly rare to find a show like this: one that’s heartwarming but not sickening, wholesome but a little bit naughty, one that only improves on repeat viewing. It’s too bad there aren’t any special features (I’m reviewing the 2024 Blu-ray release) but I’m just glad it was released on DVD/Blu-Ray at all instead of being held hostage on a streaming service. The performances are stellar (where has Nick Mohammed BEEN?! He blew me away!) and I loved getting to see Hannah Waddingham all glammed up when I’d previously only watched her as the Worst Septa of All Time on Game of Thrones. For a real head trip, go watch Jason Sudeikis in Colossal and then watch this. Don’t even get me started on Roy, Keeley, Sam, Higgins, etc. If you haven’t watched this great show you should definitely give it a shot.

Best show ever. Always put me in such a good mood just to let you know there’s no extras though.

Love this series and the Blu-Ray version is just what I wanted. The only thing that could make it better would be to include special features.

Show itself is five-stars: one of my all-time favorite shows but the complete lack of any bonus features is disappointing enough to make it a four-star rating.This set has all the episodes, but zero bonus features. No commentaries, no behind-the-scenes, no featurettes, nothing but the main episodes.The inclusion of the "Christmas Mustache" mini-episode, the original TV spots that inspired the series, some commentaries from actors, or even an introduction or two would have been a nice touch and gotten a five-star from me.The discs themselves are in a nice case, easy removal and return. Good transfer, good quality. If all you want to do is watch the show, this is a perfect set for you. If you are like me and have seen it more times than you can count, there is nothing here new.

Whenever I am feeling down, all I need to do is watch Ted Lasso and I feel happy again. You just want to hug Ted Lasso - quirky and so loveable. An eternal optimist who believes in others. All of the characters in this TV show are interesting, well defined, and brilliantly played by the actors. You do not need to know anything about soccer (football anywhere outside of North America) - this is a show about the relationship between the characters and the soccer context just provides the setting. It tackles universal themes such as identity, relationships, death, love, friendships, ambitions and ego.Season 1 was light and funny. It's the season that made people fall in love with this show. It sets up the characters and the story. Episodes were around 30 min in length.Season 2 got a little darker, exploring issues of mental health. It felt more real, but less comedic. Still great though.Season 3 took the focus a bit less on the main characters and let the other characters blossom. Episodes were around 45 min long.This is hands down one of the best TV show out there. Well written, well acted, well edited.I agree with many of the other reviewers - it's fantastic to have this available in a physical media, but unfortunate that the packaging is a bit cheap and flimsy. The product image seems to indicate that it will be in a strong cardboard packaging - it is not. I am including images so that you can judge for yourself.No behind the scenes or extras - just the show.And a Believe poster (those of you familiar with the show will know the iconic poster).

Fantastic show. I love having all the episodes on hand for rewatching instead of re-subscribing to Apple TV . The packaging was secure and arrived 4 days early in perfect condition. If you're a fan of the show, this is a must-have.

It was a quality product that I savoured every episode with its drama, heart and soul of how a community can come together as a sport. Transcending difficulties as a team.It was delivered safely in mint condition.

Ted Lasso is mored than just a sports comedy, it packs equal amounts of drama and heart, tackling not only outrageous comedy but moments of anxiety, self-doubt, self-improvement, tragedy, unexpected romance and believing in the human spirit. It's one of my comfort shows and it's fun as it is heartbreaking and heartwarming. It's the best series that shortener Bill Lawrence has ever done. The writing and character development is absolutely brilliant. The cast is truly snd utterly superb. Jason Sudakus gives a rousing, charming and sensational performance. Brett Goldstein who is also one of the writers and producer gives a terrific and scene stealing performance in every episode. Hannah Waddingham is outstanding. Jeremy Swift, Juno Temple, Phil Dunster, Nick Mohammed, Brendan Hunt and the entire cast strike gold with their hilarious and loving chemistry. 34 episodes and 3 seasons of near-perfect television. I truly love it.
