This is unfortunately true for a lot of tools/accessories found online - they are very overpriced. I bought a universal charged for less than half this price a few years ago from my local bargain shop. It is out of stock these days and I needed this item urgently.Apart from the cost, this is a decent product. Similar in quality to any electric/electronic instrument you'd find in stores. Not the most elegant looking plastic body but not flimsy either. I chose this above many other options where there were more output ports because this was smaller in size and lighter. I haven't tested output with meter but my phone takes almost the same time to charge as from the 5V/2A stock charger so I guess the 2.1A output rating is correct. The two USB ports are quite close to each other - a small distance between them would have been better.

This is an update to my earlier 1 start review belowThe seller responded promptly and explained that the europlug needed to be manually put into place fully after it had popped up. That was not clear from the instructions and I hadn't tried to do this because I was afraid of breaking it. I did order a new one which arrived promptly and I can now report that the earplug does now fall into place with a gentle push. The instructions need to be amended to make this clear.This is a neat unit - I look forward to testing in in action next month when I am abroadThis seems to be a neat unit. But the European plug didn't pop up as it should and as a consequence the unit wouldn't work. I had to return it

Did a fair bit of research before buying and happy I chose this. Feels good quality and I bought a 2nd one as am going to India and want a back up. Only issue is it's pretty tight to put a Thailand 3 prong plug into. I lived in Canada for some years recently and the thai plug goes right into a Canadian wall socket, so they're pretty straight forward. I feel at present the tightness is an okay thing and maybe just because it's a good solid product. Would like the option to choose between blue or orange light on the device. Blue light looks pretty smart, but not good at night as is quite awakening. I have an old adapter with orange light which I leave in at night as it doubles as a handy nightlight. For travelers I feel the option of orange light would be better.

This adapter is a real boon for international travellers, and comes in its own neat and compact case. It takes a moment to understand how to use the different tips, but otherwise no complaints.

Having spent forty years on the road traveling the world, I Finally have a complete all in one travel adapter that does not fall apart, is sturdy, well made and works well. I am fed up with three separate plugs that you need a degree in Rubiks Cube to work out how they all fit together to work!Then you loose one and you are stuffed. Been there!! ;))On top of that, the Explora travel adapter has...... not one but TWO USB charging ports that we all need on the road. One phone and an ipad charge at the same time and using the mains adapter to fire up the Macbook also well . Result! .Whoopee.On top of that , it comes with a decent braided well thought out three way USB adapter for most phones and tablets and all in a nice zipped pouch.I can't travel without it. USB Charging, iPhone & Samsung Tablet is very slow. When I tried the plug socket it still made no difference in charging speed. The only benefit of this product (if you don't care about the charging speed) is that you can charge 3 devices at once.

This adapter is compact and easy to use. I am currently using it in the UK to charge North American devices via the power outlet and USB. Charged a MacBook and two phones simultaneously. Useful LED light confirms that the adapter is on (though it could be a touch less bright).I note that the 3-headed USB cable that came with the adapter didn't work with my iPhone (though it did work with another device). Customer service has been excellent and I received a replacement cable within days. (The replacement cable also didn't work, so the problem may be with my phone). Regardless, this isn't a huge issue for me as I am simply using my original phone cable to charge it.I would buy this again.

I purchased this handy little product for an up coming USA trip, i needed a travel adapter to make sure i could keep all of electronics powered up! Im happy to give this a 5 star must buy review, having a iphone and a samsung (work phone) it was perfect for charging both mobiles from as i could do it from the 1 multi head cable charging point (3seperate charger styles) which for me is worth its weight in gold! A well amoured cable, nice light to let you know the powers on and a strudy little case make this adapter a choice above the rest! Must buy!
