These work great if you crimp/install them properly.If you have never used Anderson Powerpole connectors before then you should expect to ruin a couple connectors while you figure out how to crimp them properly. You NEED a proper crimping device made for these connectors; you absolutely cannot get a good crimp with standard crimpers and if you try it will be frustrating. If you use a regular crimper you will get poor quality, loose crimps and will have to solder each connection; a proper crimping tool is the best $20 you will spend.Aside from getting the correct crimping tool the advice I would give is to make sure your wires are stripped the proper amount. The wire should just meet the end of the tube on the terminal. If it's too short the connection will be weak; if it's too long and pokes out the end of the tube it'll be difficult to insert the terminal into the housing.

They are easy to connect to wiring, and clip together to make a hard-to-screw-up connection to other pieces. Used them for a quick-connect setup for several pieces of electronics for my Jeep, none of which will be used full time, and this way can be swapped in and out more easily. They're also used by ham radio and emergency responders as a de facto power connection standard.I bought a pair of $8-10 crimping pliers (GB GS-388 8-Inch Crimping Electrical Plier) to use with these, very easy and much cheaper than the Anderson crimpers. Your mileage may vary, but they are rugged and worked well with the Powerpoles.

These connectors work really well with the Crimping tool. I use these exclusively on all of my Radio Control aircraft. They hold really well and I have never had them come apart.. These were purchased from Acer Racing. They are great to work with and when I had a shipping issue they handled the problem in a very professional way.

The Anderson Power Pole connectors are the best way to go for quick connect/disconnect power and are polarized to keep bad things from happening!

If you are doing any 12 volt electrical work, anderson powerpoles is what you want for connecting all of your devices.

I'ved used these for my ham radio power connectors, outside lighting connectors for 12V DC/AC systems. Since you can connect in a variety of positions, you can make 2-X plugs that prevent you from connecting to the wrong device. Have ordered these for YEARS and will continue to do so. They come in a variety of sized and power handling capabilities.
