You can't go wrong with brogues; smart enough for the office but great with jeans for a smart/casual look.The good thing about these Clarks brogues is that they come in a variety of widths, C (narrow), D (average) and E (wide). Having narrow feet, I find it difficult to find shoes that fit. I originally tried a pair of these in a Clarks shop. The D fitting was too wide for me and I was about to give up when the assistant told me that came in narrow fitting. I was amazed as shops mostly cater for wider fittings, never narrow. I tried these brogues on in a black patent and they fitted perfectly. Once I'd worn in the black ones and knew they were going to be comfortable I ordered these from Amazon. The insoles are fully padded, particularly around the ball of the foot - so they're comfortable as well as smart. I'm hoping that Clarks bring these out in the autumn in wine. I shall definitely be buying another pair - as long as they keep making the narrow fitting.I would point out that when selecting the size and width fitting, the fact that the narrow fitting is greyed out gives the impression it is not available in the narrow fitting but I selected it anyway and my order went through OK. Just thought I would point that out as it looks as though various sizes and widths aren't available when they are.

Comfy, classical and versatile. I love these shoes so much. I have a similar pair of boots for winter and wanted a matching version in shoes for summer and certain outfits. These fit true to size, wear in quickly (a bit narrow to begin with for my wide feet) comfy enough to wear on a long day and have the feel and sound of a high quality pair of leather shoes. Very very happy with them and their price.

I ordered a ladies size 8 as, from experience, Clarks 8 are not very big- I'm usually a 7.5 shoe size.However the 8s were way to big. Sadly the 7.5 were out of stock.Shoes returned but they were a good quality and Value for money

I wasn't sure about this shoe when I bought it. I normally take wide fitting, but I needed a pair of smart black shoes that day for a morning interview the next day, and I was willing to take the chance.I'm glad I did! These shoes looked so narrow, but once they were on they fit my great big flippers perfectly. It's like magic.If your foot ranges from regular to wide, you'll be fine. If your feet are super wide or super narrow, I'm not sure this will fit you well. Just bear that in mind.They also have a lovely padded sole, and look very smart and stylish. Clatks always make good quality shoes, and these are no exception.The only issue I would say is that the laces are a bit short. These can easily be replaced, however, so I don't think it's a serious problem.

The sole of the shoe looks completely different to what is shown in the picture, almost like cheap rubber. Disappointed as not what I expected. Unsure if I will keep them or return, as I wanted a pair of smart shoes . On the plus side, they seem to fit well, going up a half size if you have a wider foot helps.
