Cool cinema look
The lamp is cool as pictured, super easy to assemble. It's still a cinema look but if you're wanting yellow you may have to plan to adjust your bulb color a bit. Still, the lamps overall are quite nice, easy to assemble.

Great looking at a great price
Nicely made and looks more expensive than it is. Arrived quickly and safely as everything was really well packaged and protected.

Cool lamp
This is a great little industrial retro lamp, which is very nicely designed. We purchased an old fashioned amber filament bulb to complete the look and it looks pretty cool I’d say! It’s great that the footprint of the lamp is so small as it means doesn’t take up much needed room, and for us that means it fits in the bedside table very well and gives a great glow in the room (using a 40W bulb).I would definitely suggest that you need to purchase the industrial filament bulb for the full effect, though they are not cheap and do of course get very hot in use, so no good for children and pets if placed at a low level. You can get LED versions of the old style bulbs, but not sure how authentic they’d look. The lamp comes with a nice long corded flex with a switch on the cord for easy use. This is a cool piece of kit and seems good value for money (I’m assuming it’s under £20 like similar ones on Amazon) and by far the best design for this type of lamp I’ve seen. Recommended.

Interesting steam punk lamp
This is an interesting piece - a steam punk lamp that looks a bit like an industrial piece of hardware - though it’s actually made up of distresses finish plastic. It comes complete with a US two pin to U.K. plug adaptor, heavy plaited cord but with no bulb - it’s obviously designed to take Edison type bulbs mind you. With no indication of selling price available when I reviewed this - the product link was for another type of lamp - it’s difficult to decide quite what to think - it’s an interesting lamp, it seems sturdy enough, but without a shade and with no dimmer included, it has some setbacks too. The Edison bulbs do produce a warm light though. Mixed views on this product, don’t think it’s for everybody....

Cute but a little blinding!
This is a very nice design and has a great heft to it. It looks great sitting on the side when not switched on. However, the fact that it does not have a shade (which would admittedly ruin the aesthetics of the piece), means that the naked bulb is always exposed. The Edison bulb that I got happens to be a very bright one and just I have to ensure I don't even look in the lamp's general direction or risk being dazzled by the light! I would suggest a very dim Edison bulb for this item, which thereby relegates it to a decorative piece only, as anything bright enough to offer real illumination will be unbearably bright to look at directly.

Retro chic!
This fitting is an all metal construction harking back to an Industrial Age. It comes with a braided material cord with an inline switch, which gives it steam punk/retro vibe.It was supplied with a UK adaptor and only needs your choice of E27 based lamp to be up and running .Being open design an LED lamp is preferable as there would be a risk of burning with a traditional source.I fitted mine with a retro spiral filament ‘squirrel cage’ lamp which makes the unit an attractive conversation piece, rather than a funtional task light. Its decorative rather than functional.

Rather cheap and fake looking in gold
Mine doesn't look as 'industrial steel' as the pictures on the website, do. It seems I have the 'gold' version which is not particularly realistic. Weight-wise it's 'OK' but it's definitely not metal nor does it have that antique heft I was hoping for. With a retro-bulb in (I had to borrow one as don't currently own one) it looks quite good on a table. But I would have preferred the darker model to this faux-brass one.I'd also rather have the real thing (if they exist somewhere, salvage yards etc!) as this is a little too 'made in china and looks it' for my liking.
