Hardly A Raging Success
Rage 2.Genre: Open World FPS.Developer: Bethesda, id Software, Avalanche Studios.Pro's.- Good Graphics.- Solid Shooting System.- Varied Landscapes.Con's.- Short Campaign.- Repetitive Side Quests.- Awful Driving Controls.Timelord Thoughts.I was looking forward to Rage 2, the premise was a intriguing one but after playing it I found it to be a massive disappointment, this is a game that delivers style over substance, graphically the game looks fantastic & features a simple to use combat system but the game lacks interesting characters & those allies you do meet are easily forgettable, the repetitive gameplay quickly becomes boring & the awful controlled driving simulation feels clunky & unresponsive as at times your lock on doesn't target what your aiming at.The combat system is great & easy to perform various attacks, there's varied weapons to find & upgrades to use which are located in various arks located around the decent sized map while the sound design is good as well as some decent voice acting. However the games plot is wafer thin & you never build up relationships with characters like one would in Fallout 4, the game is very easy on Normal difficulty & I'd advise seasoned gamers to adjust to harder difficulty if they want a more fulfilling challenge.if you die you'll restart from your last save point meaning you will battle enemies you've already previously beaten & have to re-collect items you already collected, the bosses are easy to defeat & the single player campaign takes roughly about 6-8 hours to complete if you want to just bash through the main story & ignore the side quests.Overall, Rage 2 is a underwhelming FPS, it looks & plays great but it's world, varied characters & sub par quests lack substance & i felt little effort was given to the main story's plot & in my opinion this is only worth purchasing when the price comes down to around the £15 - £20 mark, disappointing.

Well worth a play
Super fun for a open world shooter. Can get a little bit repetitive and I don't feel the story like is as strong as it could be. BUT they are still bringing out content and the gun fight are so so fun and satisfying along with the powers you get, makes a very fun bloody mess

Story is very short
The game is fun but the story is very short and once you complete it , it gets very boring as there is not much else to do in the game

A bad start but otherwise a great game
Due to the awful start I initially gave this a bad review. I went back and I'm glad I did as it actually really good.

Habit forming game
Bought as a present for my son and it kept him occupied for days. He really enjoyed the graphics and game content.

Combat is stellar, though the benefits of th deluxe edition are not worth it
Stick with the standard, experience will be almost identical. Combat is stellar, world is beautifully realised, if story is what you’re in to I would give this a miss
