Great machine! Sleek and mighty.
We are really pleased so far. Although it’s not silent, we enjoy the subtle sound, almost like a white noise machine. I’ve noticed a difference in our sleep. Typically my nose is dried and cracked, living in Arizona will do that- however it has not been cracked since using this machine. I feel that the price was on point compared to similar items. It works well for the master bedroom and keeps up the humidity even with the door cracked. The water capacity lasts for two days. The size of the master bedroom is approximately 12ft x 12ft. It’s a large bedroom with a bathroom. Although the machine is small, it is sleek and mighty. It’s a nice looking unit with an LED screen. Fits nicely on the bedside table.

I would seriously give this a prototype of the year award
I never write reviews, and as someone who has an engineering background, this is an amazing product that does exactly what it is supposed to do, with extra features. The humidity immediately goes up when I turn it on, and I confirmed the % levels are accurate with two different higher-end air quality monitors. The wireless connectivity surprisingly works well over public WiFi (just put a zero or multiple zeros for the password and it will work)! The UV light, and the filter are great. The filter is easy to wash and I flip it over so all the trapped bacteria / powder do not accumulate on one side each time. Since it functions like a fancy swamp cooler, you need to have your space closed up so the humidity is trapped in the room. If you leave a window or door open that leads to a larger open space, then it will not work as well which is what I saw someone write about. There is a fundamental difference between an evaporative and ultrasonic humidifier. An ultrasonic humidifier adds moisture to the area radius surrounding the humidifier but only to that area, which is why it works well in an open space but only if the humidifier is near you, the further you are from the humidifier, the weaker the humidifying effect. With an evaporative humidifier, it brings up the humidity by taking in air and pushing out naturally humidified air around the entire room, so the humidity levels are equalized everywhere throughout the space. However, it will not work well or at all when the humidified air can escape from the room. In sum, huge/open spaces will work best close-by with an ultrasonic humidifier with a filtering system. Closed spaces of any size and needing equalized humidity levels will work best with an evaporative humidifier (that’s why most buildings have evaporative-based HVAC systems). The only real issue most people are complaining about is this feels more like a final prototype of a finished product. There were some bugs with the app initially but everything has worked flawlessly. I bought another one for a gift and hope they fix the issue and relaunch this product. The panel on the top is a little flimsy and you have to be delicate with the top part that contains the fan and electronics. The tank part is a separate piece and easy to wash as well.

Affordable Evaporative Humidifier
Love this humidifier. Love the washable filters. Through research I learned to not expect an evaporative humidifier to behave quite like non evaporative humidifiers. My 14 x 16 size spare bedroom with plants with the door closed unit functions well in holding the humidity levels in the 50-65%. In the winter on extremely cold days with hot air gas heater running the unit struggles a little but that’s ok. What I don’t like is product doesn’t play nice with Apple products. Every 2 weeks I have to write down my 13 digit password to log into the app which defeats the purpose of security. Customer service glosses over the situation.

Provirtec humidifier
Unfortunately, this does not work as a humidifier. It's more like a mini swamp cooler. It could never get our bedroom humidity up to even 45%. We tried every setting and even closed the bedroom, closet, and master bathroom doors to see if that would help. The most it did was cool off our room. It looks super fancy and high-tech, is quiet, and is easy to clean, but does NOT add any humidity to the room. I ended up returning this because it doesn't do what it claims!

This was definitely a good buy!
With this dry winter making sleeping miserable (dry throat, dry sinuses crusted with dried blood, headaches!), I went down one heck of a rabbit hole when it comes to humidifiers, trying to find one similar to a model we have for a brand that I can no longer find. On my journey, I learned a few things. First, apparently, it doesn't matter if you buy a known brand like Honeywell or any of the various unknown brands scattered throughout Amazon, because all misting ultrasonic humidifiers are terrible and will fail, leaking their reservoirs everywhere, ruining people's furniture, floors, etc. Also, you NEED to use distilled water, or you'll just make your life even more difficult getting minerals in the air and white powder in the areas where the mist is released, and trying to clean calcification off the internal parts. I learned that "evaporative" humidifiers like this one are better than ultrasonic ones for multiple reasons. One reason is that you can use tap water, saving you $10-$12 a week from not having to buy enough distilled water to operate each night. However, you have to clean them more often. I took a chance with this one, because there weren't many reviews, but what caught my attention is how easy it is to clean and fill, with no chance of leaking, due to how it's made. The bottom is essentially a bucket, and the functioning hardware is all in the top half, so cleaning is easy. There's no tight crevices to navigate around, and the filter is machine washable. SUPER low-maintenance! It was also easy to setup the app, connecting the device to my wifi, and it responds immediately to changing the settings in my phone without any lag. It also does what it's supposed to, without any mist or nasty residue. There's a UV light, which if I remember correctly, is supposed to reduce the chance for mold growth. It's quiet while it runs, like gentle white noise. This was a risk that paid off!
