Funny Birds: A pop-up book Hardcover – 29 Mar. 2013

The pop out figures are amazing and full of colour. I bought it for my 3 years old son and he really loves it.

the book is well done book ,the figure very nice and it was quick to arrive.

My 4 year old loved the Philippe Ug Robot pop-up book, and he is almost as pleased with this one. The only downside is that now he is constantly asking if we can make our own pop-up books. I may need to go to pop-up making school.The pop-ups are elaborate and beautiful, the story is basic but that doesn't matter, because the opening it is like seeing wonderful magic.

Prestel are an unsung gem of a publisher for children's books. They do an excellent series of art picture books, retelling and re-interpreting famous art works such as "The Wave" and "Waterlilies". This however is a pop-up book of the most intricate and delicate pop ups I've ever seen. Bright, colourful and taking up nearly each page is a double page pop out of the funny bird babies and their parents as they hatch, develop and grow into funny birds. Not much story, but you can marvel at the craft work

This is a beautiful pop up book for all ages. The colours are stunning and the artwork is lovely.

This is a wonderful book - really beautiful and charming. Be prepared though that very small children will really want to touch it andfeel it, as is only natural.Buy two copies - one that the child can explore and the other to keep intact.

I love the abstract art as it holds my baby's attention. The book itself is nice and compact compared to the other pop ups. My husband had pointed out that it's about predatory birds tricking others into nesting their egg and raising their young. Quite the lesson to impart onto our little girl when she's older, lol.

this book is beautiful. the colors are vibrant and exciting. the pop ups are intricate and colourful. lots of colour and detail.

Philippe UG has a new fan--such whimsy and excellent use of color in his pop-ups, translated from French. Love the storyline, too. I don't like to say too much about it because the surprise of each page (in any good book) is part of the delight. (I also don't like in-depth movie reviews that give away too much; I'd rather see it only knowing the type of movie it is (biography, period piece, science fiction) so it's all fresh.
