Love how she captured every emotion, expression and feeling of a girl going through phases of love and life, the book felt like a warm hug, too beautiful, accidentally came upon this book, hadn’t read any reviews or anything, just randomly picked it up and I was so glued on to it that I finished it in literally 2 days! Will definitely recommend it. Review: A warm, witty, and wonderful debut!⭐ - Prajakta Koli’s Too Good To Be True is exactly what its title suggests—a romance that feels too good, but incredibly true at the same time. As someone loved watching her content as MostlySane, I was excited to see how she’d transition into storytelling—and she didn’t disappoint. The story of Avani, a dreamy law student juggling real-world responsibilities and fictional expectations of love, felt like a mirror. Her chemistry with Aman is slow-burning, endearing, and refreshingly grounded. What I loved most is how Prajakta weaves humor, emotional vulnerability, and the messiness of modern relationships without making it feel clichéd. The book beautifully captures that space between fiction and reality—the idea that love doesn’t have to be dramatic or perfect to be worth fighting for. The writing style is casual and chatty, almost like a friend telling you a story over coffee, which made it a comforting read. Whether you’re a fan of romance, a believer in imperfect love, or just looking for a feel-good story with a big heart, this book is a hug in paperback form. Highly recommend to Gen Z and millennial readers who want love stories that feel real.

I loved it ♥️
Honestly, I really enjoyed the story. I know a lot of people are judging this book, but for me, it was such a cozy, fluffy, easy-going read. If you’re someone who loves a good rom-com without a super complex storyline—just pure, simple, lovey-dovey romance—this book fits perfectly. I especially loved the chemistry between Avni and Aman; it felt warm and genuine. What stood out most to me was Avni’s character. The way her emotions were shown—built up from childhood and carried into adulthood—was so relatable. It’s not easy for someone with so much bottled up inside to express themselves, and I think that was portrayed beautifully here. Another thing I adored was the relationship between Avni and her Aji; it added such a magical, heartfelt touch to the story. Yes, there were a few parts that felt a little unrealistic, but honestly, I didn’t mind. At the end of the day, it’s a romance fiction, and I was more than happy to just go along with the story. It felt like the perfect palate cleanser—a book you read simply to feel love and warmth without overthinking. One more thing I can’t miss: the audiobook! Listening to it while reading made the experience so much better. Prajakta’s narration of Avni’s parts felt so natural and added so much depth—I could actually feel the character coming alive through her voice. I highly recommend combining both reading and listening if you can; it made the book even more enjoyable.

"A Heartwarming Debut: Too Good to Be True "
Prajakta Koli’s debut novel, Too Good to Be True, is a charming attempt at capturing the magic of relationships and everyday life. With her signature humor and relatable storytelling, she brings a sense of familiarity to the pages, making it an easy and enjoyable read. While the book has its heartwarming moments, the plot feels somewhat predictable. As a frequent reader, I noticed that the storyline mirrors themes and tropes commonly found in other books. This took away some of the excitement, though it doesn’t completely diminish the book’s appeal. What kept me engaged were the characters and their chemistry. The way Prajakta portrays their interactions—full of witty banter, emotional depth, and sincere moments—makes the story come alive. Even if the plot feels familiar, the characters bring a sense of comfort and charm that is hard to ignore. As a debut, Too Good to Be True is a good effort that showcases Prajakta Koli’s potential as a writer. While it may not break new ground, it’s a feel-good read perfect for when you’re in the mood for something light and entertaining.

A love story that will make you love reading
It's definitely a fun read as it kept me hooked since the beginning. The writing style is interesting as the story switches between the perspective of Avani and Aman as it progresses so it is refreshing and engaging to read. The story is also nice and the book is long enough yet doesn't bore in any part. Must recommended for Rom-com lovers or someone who prefer a light hearted read. Also one word will always remind me of this book - Aftershave haha
