The original design galileo came upin 1609 is commonly called a galilean telescope. It uses two lenses to produce magnified upright images. This telescope is nine" long,comes with a wooden box for storage. The brass is left unfinished, so that it may acquire an antique type finish over time. If that is not wanted, it may easily be polished away.
