I love doing these little miniatures. Immersive and relaxing after a long stressful day.I purchased this one and on other to do during the winter when I can't work in my actual garden. So I have not fully unpacked it yet. Lots of small parts that I do not want to lose. It is a substantial kit. I think a good project for the experienced miniature maker who enjoys the minute details, or for an older teen. I think best for 15 and up. Plan on working on the one over several day or a week. This is not a one day or weekend project.This kit has a lot of tiny details and involve building the small items such as flowers and furniture before placing them in the larger scene. t has pretty much everything you will need to mark the project. Many of these kits are not able to come with the glue due to shipping restriction, and you will need batteries for the lights. If you need glue I recommend Tacky Glue in the quick dry grab formula to make working with the tiny part easier. It make it easier to manipulate the small pieces and dries quickly built give enough time or repositioning when needed. Save any tools that come with this or other kits. They come in handy for future projects.This one is going to be a very gratifying project when it's done.I will come back and post pictures of the finished project and any tips I have.I recommend this for anybody who likes to immerse in detail and has patience for a project over several days time.Note: there is no dust cover. I highly recommend purchasing a plastic display case to protect the finished project. I wish they all came with a dust cover but most don't.This one does not come with a music box but I plan on checking to see iff the finished project will accommodate one. A music box would have taken this totally over the top.

This kit is just adorrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrable! So - it comes with a pair of metal slanted-tip tweezers, a floppy plastic ruler, nail file (sandpaper), sticker paper, scored glossy paper, glossy paper to cut, some pressboard panels, and some wood pieces (already loose in a clear plastic bag), plus beads, fabric, etc. SO much to work with! The instruction book is in color. BTW - the color on this book is crystal clear. No "dark areas" that you cannot tell which part is which. Nice! There are also some small acrylic sheets. Does not come with a dust cover or music box (there is a music box on the picture on the box, but it's not included in my kit).I absolutely LOVE how this kit looks - what a cute idea, and it's a good representation of a classroom. Wish mine looked this cute and neat!I generally keep a miniature tool kit in specific for the dollhouse-type kits like this one. It includes: an awl, clear glue, white glue, a razor knife, paper scissors, embroidery scissors, needle and thread, paper squeegee, small screwdriver, small ruler, glue brushes, paint brushes, metal pointed tip tweezers, metal slanted tip tweezers, a small mallet hammer, etc. It's a lot, but I've used every tool at some point! Additionally, I keep a set of various colored thin-tip markers to "touch up" areas that get damaged by splintering or whatever. Is all this necessary? Maybe not. But I've used it all!This is one of the more "complex" kits, and by that I just mean it's not necessarily a beginner kit. I would call it, "moderate" for both the amount of time involved and things that might be a bit more difficult. Nothing rocket-science, though! Love it.Hobbies help us all to take a moment and let the mind wander while the hands are still working. This might be a good gift for a teen that needs something to do, an adult that needs a stress-free hobby, or even a housewarming or Christmas gift. And I think the price is right for what you get! Highly recommend.

Good quality of parts in the set. This is definitely for an advanced level, and I am a beginner in this hobby. So I have no idea if I will be able to finish this project. But it is incredibly interesting and exciting. I think it is definitely for adults, although maybe some teenagers will also like it. The instructions are a little difficult to understand. Also, this will be a great gift for someone who likes quiet hobbies and pastimes

... from the more usual coffee, magic, or flower shop interior. This is a nicely detailed little grade school classroom, with all the desks and usual student impedimenta. An aspect that I really do like about this kit is that the instructions begin with a build of the basic room, and then follow on with all the little desks, chairs, and materials. It's a personal quirk of mine, to prefer starting with the structure, and then adding the small things bit by bit, rather than beginning with the small things, and working up to the main structure. I like also that all the parts are separated into bags specific to one element or elements. The paper elements are all printed on various grades of paper, which is a nice touch, and some of them are perfed, and printed on both sides.Instructions are clear and logical, and the elements are all of good quality wood, with good finishes on them.

This is a great quality booknook. It was fairly easy to put together. The finished product looks great. This is an excellent value for the money.

I fell in love at first sight with this enchanting castle flower house. It looks like a place anyone would want to visit for an extended stay. Although I don’t have the patience to build these kits myself, one of my best friends adores them so it was a no-brainer to order this one for her.I’m captivated by everything, from the stunning architecture to the tiny details: fairy tale books, a mug of tea, grass growing on the steps, a kitten photo in a flower basket, a table doily, a crystal chandelier - even an electric guitar. It’s such a sweet gift, and my friend was thrilled. She has already built a different kit offered by this company and loves it. I can’t wait to see how this one turns out once she puts it together.
