Amazon Brand - Solimo Trash Bags (Unscented, Tall Kitchen Drawstring, 13 Gallon, 200 Count)

Excellent product, strong garbage bags, great product, nice price!!

Bought 200 of these in Dec 2018, and still have plenty left. My household doesn’t create a lot of trash, but I thought spending a ton of money of other brands was a waste – you are literally throwing away the item you’re buying – so this seemed perfect. I even turned my dad into a believer and he “brags” about how he gets 200 trash bags for $20. As for the bags themselves, the first time I used them was to clean up christmas wrapping paper and the bag ripped with barely anything in it. I was totally disheartened and thought it was a cheap product, but in hindsight it was very likely a paper-cut down the side of the bag from some of the wrapping paper. These bags are awesome! They have the slightest bit of stretch to them and I’ve never had one bust outside of that initial bag. They’ve held heavy items and have never leaked anything. I don’t think I’d necessarily purposefully try to overstuff one, they’re so cheap you can just grab another bag and save yourself the stress of that possibly happening, but they’ve held up to having trash compressed down and pokey edges of product containers. They fit my regular kitchen trash can perfectly. Never buying another brand for my kitchen trash ever again.

I was a little uneasy about ordering these but because of the return guarantee and my past experience of Amazon doing right by me when something goes wrong, I took a chance. I am glad I did. The thickness and overall quality of these bags beat several different name brand garbage bags I have tried recently and, I might add, at a much better price. I've had trouble with bags tearing most of the time on all the other brands I've used recently. It seems like the big brands are advertising one quality but cutting corners and delivering quite another. Not Amazon. These bags have not torn on me, not once in about a month of use. I purchased the fresh scent and do wish it had a little more scent (very mild) but better that than being overpowering. Have you priced decent garbage bags lately?! Just ridiculous - Amazon bags are great quality at a great price. You just can't beat it. Just hope Amazon doesn't jack up the price or lower the quality once everyone wises up and starts buying them. I just don't understand the negative reviews about ripping and tearing. My bags are top notch quality. Maybe there is a quality control problem? (Scratch my head) If so, Amazon needs to improve their quality control system. I would highly recommend these bags to anyone.

I switched from the more expense name brand and these have not disappointed. First, they fit a standard 13 gallon trash can and do not fall off the sides. I know everyone hates when a trash bag falls off the side of the trash can and down into the bottom. These bags do not do that! I love how strong they are. They never rip, tear, or leak! That is really important to me because who wants to deal with a bag that leaks trash?!?! Yuck!! I love that these bags have a drawstring. It makes it easier to tie up the trash bag. You can have confidence in these bags that they will not come open while you are trying to take out the trash. I love the price point of these bags as well. I prefer these over expensive name brand bags all day long! My only issue is the packaging, I really wish the packaging would have a slot to pull each bag out individually and not having to open the whole box. Other than that, If you give them a try, you will not be disappointed.

I was skeptical about switching from Glad trash bags, but with Amazon's satisfaction guarantee I figured I had nothing to lose. Turns out it was a good decision. As the owner of a small B&B, we use a lot of trash bags, and we fill them to the top. My biggest concern was whether the Amazon brand would hold up and not tear. When I carry a filled bag downstairs to the trash barrels in the garage, the last thing I want is for the bag to fall apart. Turns out these trash bags are stronger, slightly larger, and overall better than the name brand we'd been using. And the price is great. The packaging is also better. The 200-count box has four separate rolls, making it easy to not only remove each bag, but to also take a roll to another room in the house. We store most in the kitchen and bring a roll upstairs to a room that houses several rescued parrots. Bird owners will know that birds are very sensitive to chemicals and strong odors. Many people, myself included, prefer to breathe clean air, too. These bags are unscented and have worked well for both animals and humans. Highly recommended.

I thought the bags where great I just used them as a suggestion when I was going to purchase the hefty stretch scented, because of the fur babies! But no biggie live by myself and throw the trash and litter/ poo and pee pads out hourly/daily. Never had any hole or punctures and I pretty much use the same content, including garden shrubbery and half drunken cans of soda, so I have to say if your looking to save a few bucks you won't be sorely disappointed and I say sorely only because I am a bit nose blind and if scent is a huge factor I can't say either or as I didn't notice any scent pro or con when using the hefty. I squeeze all the air out of each bag spin it tight and use the draw string as a failsafe lock tight whatever. I never fill the garbage bag too the brim and try to use the drawstring as the actual seal. Sometimes I even double,by putting one bag upside down inside another bag and drawstring that one if that makes any God given sense to any of the rest of my grammatically incorrect babbling review. Anyhow to my point I don't Kno if these have a lesser or any scent guard at all compared to something you'd want to nor do I know if they are more or less puncture resistant than the hefty stretch or what the count per box difference is. I just know I seemed to get by with them without any huge difference in quality pertaining to use. I'm about out because I use them quite sparingly so I'm going to order some more. Hope it helped if your still reading, and you must be on some good meds like me. Organic I hope but I've never been one to hate on how anyone tickles their pickle, just be safe! Not the covid19 be safe everyone is in the habit of saying these days. But be safe in the choices you make to live well.

So do you miss the days of heavy duty garbage bags that don’t split, leak or disintegrate at the handle when removing full ones? If so these bags are where your search will end. When all the new “hi tech” garbage came out, I tried them only to realize they where inferior. I then set out to find regular garbage bags, I would get lucky every once and a while when i would find old stock, but it was really hit or miss. I got to where I would peak inside the box to inspect the bags, like it was an expensive piece of meat. When Amazon came out with solimo, I figured it couldn’t hurt to try theirs…much to my surprise they were the bag I had been looking for. What’s more with subscribe and save, I timed our usage and haven’t thought about garbage bags for years. You can imagine when I got a notice that the product was no longer available, I became a little despondent. I went on Amazon to find a replacement and realized that the bags hadn’t been discontinued, but the boxes of 90 were discontinued. Then I wondered if this was a “new coke” ploy. I am pleased to report that the boxes of 200 are the same old bag. The only downside to the new packaging is that it doesn’t have a way to leave the rolls in the box and pull bags out like Kleenex. Instead Amazon packs them in a heavy cardboard box that can be shipped without over box. I am probably just going to build a dispenser…just please don’t change the bags! If you are sick of cheap garbage bags, look no further. While I think about all the innovations of the 21st century, for the life of me I can’t understand why garbage bags have gotten so bad. As far as I am concerned the last worthwhile innovation was built in handles - hopefully these bags will stay just the way they are!
