Love it----stick it in a pocket while working around the house. Has become a habit to have on me at all times so I can work my way through all these classic books---part of the bucket list. tiny little player and tech support is good when you have a question or problem. The price compared to audible books from other sources is very good. Not current titles but a huge collection of classics to keep anyone entertained for a long time. Sitting and finding the time to read a book is hard with a busy schedule but I can log hours each day while just doing stuff around the house or yard.

My 11 year old auditory learner loves this product!
I've been home schooling this auditory learner for the past six years, and he's been listening to these classic works of English-language literature since he was six years old. When we brought the MP3 Player here to Indonesia where we are now living, we immediately burned it up (different voltage) and have ordered a replacement. He will listen to ones he has not "read" and re-read his favorites. He came to this school experience being able to discuss works of Jack London, Jonathan Swift, Herman Melville, James M. Barrie, among others. Between audio books and Dragon software, educating this auditory learner has made this educator and former classroom teacher re-think what it means to "read" and "write".

This product is just another made in china piece of junk! The case is very cheap plastic. The pixels on the screen are from the DOS days way back when screen resolution was horrible. You can only see the first couple of words of each book title on the screen because there is no horizontal scroll capability or word wrap so you have to refer to the booklet for book selection. The reader in many cases is purely painful to listen to. If I hadn't waited over a year after purchase to check this item out (bought it as a gift for a disabled relative who I just recently discovered hadn't used it) I'd have sent it back and demanded a refund. I would never recommend this product to anyone.

Review for Classic Books & Music MP3 Player
I was very excited to find a site that had this for $75.00 instead of listed $100. Bargain right off the bat. I placed my orderand was acknowledged on e-mail of shipping date. Good so far. The item arrived in a timely manner but was missing 2 partsthat were needed to work the MP3 player. I placed a call to the number listed for problems. The staff were very helpful, actuallyplacing the order on computer for me so that I would receive the 2 missing items in the mail at no further cost to me. I waiteda reasonable amount of time and the shipment arrived. You guessed it..one missing item arrived but the ear phones were stillmissing. I call the call center again. The lady who took my call was also very helpful. She said of course she could place anorder and have the ear phones shipped, but even better than that she told me that I could go the the dollar store and get a setfor a dollar. I cancelled the order, went to the dollar store and now have the ear phones(plugs). I use the MP3 player in the carand totally enjoy listening to these classic books. I was disappointed that needed pieces were missing, but impressed with the call center asssistance and final outcome.

Booo! Wanted to love it
I got this as a gift for myself, think I would catch up on all the great novels I promised myself I would read one day. I figured I could listen to them while cleaning the house, or waiting to pick up my daughter from school. The moment it arrived, I heard about 1 minute of the first story (not sure the narration was very engaging) when the unit broke, and just kept scanning through never ending chapter numbers. I have yet to receive a replacement.

Pros and Cons
Pro: $100 cost (compared to my $229 ipod classic), all 100 books are already on the device (compared to audiobooks I buy at $10 to 25 - and then spend 15 min or so downloading each CD of the 5 or 9 cds to a book), no time required downloading CDS to computer and then to an MP3 or ipod player. This is good for the old books I don't think about buying, and are books that I know or have wanted to read. you can use the earbuds from your own ipod or mp3 player, and you can plug any external speakers to this, rather than order from the mfg. standard jacks. easy to recharge - i do it after every night time usage (since i listen to it to go to sleep some times)Con: extremely inexpensive (i.e. cheap) plastic construction, compared to my metal-case ipod. No software included so that you can add your own audiobooks to it. You have to refer to the booklet that shows the titles of the 100 books, because when you scroll through the screen, you can only see the first 3 or 4 words of a title. Books are listed by title, not author. When you are listening, you have to keep track where you left off - for example, track 9 of chapter 8 - or something like that. I didn't understand how the other person said he could fall asleep to a book, and then take his morning walk starting where he left off. For me, you have to click the device and then it takes you to the main menu where you have to select the book and the chapter. People say it's the size of a thumb - wow that's a big thumb! It's actually 2/3 the size of an ipod - 3" x 1.5" x .25". ear phones were too big for my ears - so i use my ipod earbuds. The quality of the readers varies. As someone stated, it can be good or it can be awful, and I've listened to books that change narrators! Kind of annoying. But it's an interesting concept, so I'll keep it - and pray it lasts.... Since I bought this, I listen to this once in a while, but prefer my ipod....

Classics audio
I have only listened to the first five or six entries so far, but as a great fan of audio books I am enjoying the dramatic presentations and readings along with the readers on the Library of Classics MP3 Player. I received the player in a timely fashion and have jumped right into the listening enjoyment. My current plan is to go straight through the whole player only stopping for occasional current books on tape.

Library of Classics MP3 player
Fast delivery. Small, compact size, loaded with audio books and classic music. Simple ear buds have very good sound quality. My favorite feature is that I can pause/stop/shut down/later, restart and continue where I left off; no continuous searching for where I stopped listening. Very satisfied.
