Works well for a quick check
The meter is packaged well and comes with calibration standards and batteries installed. The construction seems good and solid. It comes with a cap to keep the testing leads cleanThe screen is easy to read once you get familiar with the different readouts. Initial testing was pretty off compared to my liquid test kit. After calibration was it within .2, which works well for what I need it to do. The manufacturer claims the calibration solutions are good for 60 days. The TDS shows within the margin of error of my dedicated TDS meter. Unfortunately there is no calibration standards included for TDS.My use case it to be able to do a quick check of these parameters and recheck using a liquid test kit if it seems higher/lower than it should be. I’m not using this for laboratory grade testing. I am just looking for something that is quick and easier to read than test strips. I will recalibrate in a couple weeks to see if it holds its “zero”First impressions are good and at this point I can recommend this item, but you will want to calibrate the device before putting it into service. I wish they included a calibration standard for TDS if feasible. I will update after a bit of use and let you know how it’s going.A note concerning TDS. A lot of people focus on TDS for fish keeping. It really only makes sense to look at it if you know what is making up the value. If you’re testing tap water without knowing what is in the water, it’s an unknown quantity. For example, my tap water is hard and has a high TDS, but has a low KH and calcium level. So the TDS is more than likely higher in magnesium and other metals/minerals. I use a 70/30 mix of distilled and tap water. I add a KH buffer, calcium and other trace minerals/metals for my fish/plants/shrimp in, 5 gallon batches. I use this meter and other tests to dial in the water makeup for my tanks. This meter helps me dial in and see where I’m at and if, for example, my tap water has changed, and I need to adjust. If you’re just treating and using tap water, and your not having any issues, then I wouldn’t pay a whole lot of attention to the TDS reading.

Simple and effective
I got into hydroponics about a year ago, and I use my little garden for herbs. Initially, I followed the instructions from the hydroponics kit regarding adding nutrients. However, it was clear that I was overshooting. This meter provides a variety of data points, but for me, the two most important are pH and TDS. The latter told me that I was overfeeding my plants (not good).Additionally, I'm supposed to drink low-acid coffee, which tastes flat and terrible. I switched to using alkaline drops in regular coffee, and this meter will allow me to titrate them to the point where the acidity is adjusted while not overshooting and producing a flat-tasting chemical solution instead of a cup of coffee that tastes good and wakes me up.Nice consumer-level meter.

Absolutely amazing !
I recently got the pH Meter for Water, Digital EC and PPM Meter for my hydroponic setup, and it’s been a game-changer for keeping my nutrient levels spot on. This 4-in-1 device measures pH, electrical conductivity (EC), total dissolved solids (TDS), and temperature—all the essentials for maintaining optimal conditions for indoor plants. The setup was straightforward, and the large display makes reading each measurement clear, which I really appreciate. The pH calibration process is fast and accurate; it comes with calibration solutions that make it easy to calibrate for the first time, and recalibration hasn’t been needed often. Having pH, EC, and TDS all on one tool saves me from switching between devices and makes my routine checks faster and more efficient. The accuracy is impressive. I tested it against a few known solutions, and the readings were consistently spot-on. With hydroponics, precision matters, and knowing the nutrient levels are just right gives me peace of mind.

Perfect for a quick/general check
It is more accurate than a "ball Park" reading but not up to snuff for a laboratory setting. It is perfect for an entry level hobbyist up to a moderately knowledgeable one (thats where I'm at). I'm no expert but it is a great tool to keep for tank maintenance that is better than strips but not as involved as liquid testers.
