Solarpod Solar Panel 60W Foldable Monocrystalline Storage Bag 5m Cable Portable

I purchased this for my Solarpod 240 battery. Unfortunately the panel came without instructions. Whilst Maplin customer services were very polite and courteous they were unable to supply instructions for the panel setup. I ended up ringing the manufacturers myself and they were more than helpful and sent through the instructions via email straight away. No problem but why didn't Maplin do this? It is actually a very simple process to setup the panels but as someone who knows nothing about solar panels having instructions was important especially for the wiring on the back of the panels. When opening the padded case with the panel inside I was horrified to find lots of loose metal filings which had left a few scratches on the panel edges. It was almost as though someone had left the case open whilst they were machining the aluminium trims for the panel. Luckily the solar panels were undamaged. In addition to the metal filings problem the supporting brackets when unfolding the panel were very sharp and need to be dulled to avoid someone cutting there fingers. Someone needs to have a look at quality control here. Anyway, problems aside, the panel is very quick and easy to setup and works fine and even though I had some initial teething problems (I.e. No instructions, metal fillings and sharp brackets) believe it or not I'm actually very happy with it.Quality control aside, my suggestion for improvement would be to have adjustable legs so the angle of the panels to the sun can be adjusted for winter months when the sun is lower in the sky.
