Good gear for the glove box
This radio is compact and simple. It can run for days on one set of batteries. In my area, it gets good reception--importantly, it's excellent for weather information. We keep it in the glove box as an emergency radio and also a handy item for impromptu hikes. Radios like this are indispensable for outdoor safety. At 5.99 (current price), this one is a great investment.

Easy and no fuss...perfect for elders whom find tech a challenge!
Just stumbled upon the perfect travel companion for my podcast-fatigued ears! This pocket-sized wonder has brought back the simple joy of radio listening, and I'm honestly surprised by how much I'm loving it.First off, let's talk about that impressive reception - the 6.1-inch antenna isn't just for show. Whether I'm catching the morning news on AM or vibing to FM tunes, the signal comes through crystal clear thanks to its DSP chip. The sound quality from the 1.5-watt speaker packs a surprising punch for such a tiny device (and yes, they include headphones for those private listening sessions). What really won me over is how delightfully straightforward it is. Three buttons - that's it! No need for a engineering degree to figure it out. The design is reminiscent of those classic Walkman days, but with modern reliability. It's so compact (about the size of a deck of cards) that I sometimes forget it's in my pocket until I want to tune in.Power-wise, this little champ keeps going and going - we're talking 80+ hours on just two AAA batteries. The sturdy ABS plastic construction means it can handle being tossed in my bag without worry.Perfect for anyone who misses the simplicity of just turning on the radio and discovering what's playing, or for those who want a reliable backup for emergency updates. It's especially great for older folks who might find smartphones overwhelming - my dad absolutely loves his!One small tip: grab some rechargeable AAA batteries while you're at it. You won't need them often, but it's nice to have spares ready!

Not Great But Not Bad For Price!
This is a very lightweight literally pocket sized radio that for the money it’s a handy little portable radio to have that although it doesn’t give a stellar performance it’s still a good value for $7.99! And as of this review it has a coupon! It came with earphones which they alone are worth the purchase price. The sound is again not great but it still allows me to listen to my music or talk radio as I go about my work and it does keep me from draining the battery on my phone! It requires 2 AAA batteries (not included) but honestly for the price I wasn’t expecting anyand I like the little strap so that I can easily hang it by my work station or even by the door so I don’t forget it when I leave home. For the price it’s a decent little portable radio to have and it would also come in handy to have in case of power outages I can still be able to get news updates and listen to music! Toodles!

Great Little Radio for the Price
I was puzzled why this little portable radio didn't get better reviews and rating. So I spent some time reading the negative reviews to find out why. Most negative comments were about poor reception. Someone even complained that the station dial moved around when they put it in their pocket while walking.....really? It's an $8 radio, you get what you pay for. I've spent over $100 on small portable radios specifically to get good reception. It's unfair to expect the same quality from this one. It's great as an emergency backup radio or to use outdoors where it might get ruffed up a little. It has several positive features that I particularly appreciate:- it includes a very nice headphone. I've spend more money on other headphones that didn't sound as good as this one;- the markings for the radio channel frequencies are very detailed AND protected with a thick clear cover, so you don't have to worry about the frequency markings rubbing off over time;- the volume and tuning knobs are wide and have deep ridges that fingertips can grab and adjust easily;- the 3 main controls (on/off/volume, channel selection, and AM/FM band selection) are positioned for easy control with just one hand holding the radio. I often listen to the radio at night in the dark and can easily navigate all the controls without even seeing the radio;- reception is acceptable for me. If getting great reception is important, you might want to check out other radios that cost more; The only negative thing I found was the placement of the headphone jack....it's right next to the volume knob so if you use the headphone a lot you might find it gets in the way of making volume adjustments.Other than that, this is a great little radio for the price and I highly recommend it.

Didn’t like it
It didn’t stay on the station anytime you moved the radio as well as it didn’t come with the ear buds that it said it came with
