Don't over-tighten.
Superior to the Intel Bracket because it evenly distributes pressure across the CPU. Thermal Grizzly say that this 1851 version does not require a specific torque - allowing it to be gradually tightened by 90 degree stages in a criss-cross pattern until resistance is felt. This may equate to 4 - 6 cNm (0.04 - 0.06 Nm torque). Some have said to turn the screws 90 degrees past resistance, but this is not recommended as it may effect RAM as many report issues with this when over-tightening. During installation, the back plate of the CPU will fall free, so it's a good idea to have this supported before removing the original bracket, making it easier to attach the Thermal Grizzly bracket. If an existing cooler bracket is on the back, this should be no issue.

Excellent product and reassurance for anti warping
Fantastic quality product, used the previous generation one on Z790, so was happy to use Thermal Grizzly one again, the 285k runs low temps, so difficult to measure any temperature benefits but both aesthetically and structurally the product is excellent

Game changer
Wow! 265kf was hitting some high temps around 80-88. Decided to go with this contact frame and lowered my temps by 30c. So happy with it. Got the same brand paste to go with it. Easy install as well.

Top wie von Thermal Grizzly erwartet 🤗 Erstklassige Verarbeitung und einfache Montage, mein Ultra 9 285K läuft mal eben 6°C kühler 👍 Wer Roman kennt oder schon länger folgt weiß das er mit Thermal Grizzly eigentlich nur Top Produkte raus bringt die auch wirklich was taugen.
