Huge Hit
Great gift for a enthusiastic man who collects and is a firearm enthusiasts. Container was perfect as well as the size of the bullets. They really hold the icy cold and look awesome in a cold drink. A real conversation starter, for sure.

Perfect for a firearms enthusiast
Purchased this as a gift! It was well received. I was lucky enough to try them out as we toasted in the New Years. Kept the beverage cold just as described. They were sturdier and heavy than I expected. They did not dilute or change the taste of my beverage.

Big whisky stones
These metal steel ice cube balls are functionally giant whisky stones. The steel balls have a fluid center that freezes well and can be used in cocktails or neat pours without diluting the drink. They are a nice alternative to freezing ice spheres. The plastic case they came in cracked after the first use so dropped a star for that, but the spheres themselves are nice. They stay cold for quite a while and if they warm up before you finish your cocktail, you're drinking too slow.

As advertised
Exactly as advertised. Not as cold as cold as ice. Give it a couple of minutes to chill the drink. Attractive look. Does not water down the drink, which is ideal. You get to see yourself every time you take a sip. Good product.

Quite effective; works with all drinks, but might just want to get them out for liquor
This whiskey stone package contains the 2 ice balls, some metal tongs, a clear plastic box that the ice balls are secured in, and also what looks like a 10" x 6" microfiber cloth. I admit that I was uncertain if I should keep the metal balls in the plastic container that they come in, even in the freezer, but for now I've just been keeping them in a small freezer bag along with the tongs.I've been pretty impressed with the performance of these ice spheres; they were exceptionally cold when taking them out of the freezer after letting them freeze for a couple of days before I decided to add them to a drink. I didn't have the tongs handy, so I just took them out (I was storing them in a small plastic bag) and placed them into my clear insulated tumbler, and then added some soda that had been refrigerated. After letting it sit for a few minutes, I was extremely surprised to see condensation forming on the outside of the tumbler (which has never happened with normal ice). Furthermore, as I was taking some sips of the soda, there were some small frozen pieces, so the claim of these ice balls having glycerin with such a lower freezing point as compared to ethanol which apparently other whiskey stones have seems to have more than just a modicum of truth to it!After a couple of hours, and one refill of soda and two refills of water, the ice balls were still cold! Whenever I drank enough to cause the top ball to emerge from the drink, condensation would start to form on the surface of the metal, and my drinks stayed cold the whole time. Later, when I was washing the spheres to put back in the freezer, the ball that had been on top was fairly chilly, but the one that had been on the bottom was even colder - likely since it had been in the drinks for longer and not exposed to the air to thaw.It has been nice being able to use these ice balls and not worrying about normal ice melting as I drink a beverage; it's also nice that I don't have sediment floating to the bottom from the melted ice (our ice is from the fridge, and we have hard water). However, while these have been quite effective with keeping a beverage cold, I do think that the main focus of them being more for liquor is probably more ideal, since you'll probably just have a drink (maybe a few) and then you'll be done with it. However, if using these for water or other soft beverages, you'll probably be needing them for much longer and need to swap them out with either other frozen ice spheres/stones or normal ice once these thaw out. Regardless, they do work well with keeping drinks cold for at least a couple of hours!

Decent
A bit too large than I was expecting, keeps the liquor cool but not pleasant to look at.

Works Great
I've used small frozen stainless steel cubes and they are ok for cooling down a drink, you need a few of them to get a really cold drink, but these large ice balls are a game changer! I drink a lot of sparkling water and I don't have a very big refrigerator. So I'll often drink it at room temperature. Putting just one frozen ice ball in a 16oz cup makes the drink COLD without diluting it with ice cubes. After use, you just rinse it off and put it back in the freezer. Do use the tongs for holding them when frozen to avoid freezing your skin. I don't know why these are marketed as a gift for men. Women like cold drinks too, including whiskey. Recommended for men AND women.
