Controller Adapter for GC, Super Smash Bros NGC Controller Adapter for Switch, Wii U and PC USB w/ 4 Port - Plug & Play, No Drivers Needed

I purchased this as a cheap and easy way to add Gamecube controllers to a Nintendo Switch over Xmas for multiplayer and so far it has been great. It works perfectly with Mario Kart and Rocket League.There is a switch that allows selection of PC or WII U (Wii U is the one to choose for use with the Switch). The instructions included are decent and detail that the adapter works with the Dolphin emulator on PC but I haven't tried that yet.The adapter is powered by the USB 3 port on the switch, note that the adapter cable has two USB connectors, only one is required for use with the Switch but I imagine both will be required if plugging into USB2 ports on a PC as they have significantly lower current capability than USB3. A USB 3 port should be fine.The second time I used the adapter it didn't appear to be working , I only had one controller plugged in. I discovered that the Gamecube controller needs to be in a specific port to operate ( try the port at each end if it doesn't work, I think the one on the right of the adapter is the one to be used first). If you are plugging four controllers in this won't be an issue.Overall there isn't much more to say, the adapter is small, cheap and works with the multiplayer titles I've tried. The cable connecting to the switch could be a little longer but that is a very minor gripe.I'd recommend this adapter.

Allows me to use the best controller for Super Monkey Ball, on any platform!Enough said.It is a simple plug and play device and yes it does require 2 USB ports for some reason.

DISCLAIMER: I have only used the PC mode on this adapter as I don't own a Wii U or Switch console, so please look through other reviews if you are looking to purchase this adapter for either of those platforms. I use a Windows 10 PC with the Dolphin emulator when using this adapter.The adapter has a toggle switch on the back which you can use to change the connection type between Wii U, Switch and PC. This is a great feature as it makes the adapter pretty versatile if you play a lot of Nintendo games.That being said, I have only used this adapter to play Gamecube and Wii games on my PC using the Dolphin emulator, and it works almost flawlessly. The adapter is a Plug 'n Play device, meaning you only have to plug in the two USB connectors into your PC, and the adapter will install itself onto your computer within seconds.The adapter has four controller ports, making it a perfect accessory for playing emulated Gamecube/Wii games with your friends.It also works great with the Dolphin emulator and is perfect for Mario Kart games. The only minor issue I had with the controls is that I had sluggish movement in some games with the grey Control Stick. However, I found that re-calibrating the stick in the Controller settings of my Dolphin emulator fixed this problem, and games like Super Mario Sunshine played with no issues after I did this.One other issue that I currently still have with the adapter itself, is that sometimes when I reboot my PC, it doesn't always work in my emulator. The adapter's four controller ports will still be listed in the controller options, but the emulator won't detect any input from the controller. My solution for this is to unplug the adapter, then go to Control Panel -> Devices and Printers, right-click on the Gamecube Controller Adapter and click on "Remove device". I then wait a few seconds and re-plug the adapter back into the PC, and it will then re-install itself.Once it's finished, I re-open my emulator, go to configure my controls and click the Refresh button on the button config screen. Dolphin will then register my controller and I can play games with it. So really this is only a minor issue as it only takes a minute to fix, but I'd love to hear a permanent fix for this. I'm also not 100% sure if this is a problem with the product, or with my emulator/PC.I haven't tried this adapter with other PC games yet, but I may update this review if I do try it out. Overall I give this product 4/5 stars just because of that issue with the controller input not being recognised sometimes, but this adapter is still a great accessory for your PC. If you enjoy emulating Gamecube and/or Wii games, buy this now!

It works perfectly no issues what’s so ever. I bought 4 regular GameCube controllers and use this product to play smash bros and Mario kart on the switch oled. Works fine

This adapter is great! Works perfectly straight out of the box. Simple to use and robust design. I brought it so I could play Smash Bros on the Switch with my GC Controller and discovered that the controller actually works with most games that don't require motion controls making this purchase even more worth it

Does not work on switch wiiu u or PC. Probably crap build quality. Got the official Nintendo one now which does work.

This is a really handy adapter that I'm glad I bought. It allows me to use my dad's old controller thats older than me to play the new super smash bros ultimate and it works like a dream. It is super easy to set up and so far there have been absolutely no issues. Very impressed.
