I purchased these right before the fires in California. I live in San Francisco and I have chronic asthma. I would not have been able to endure that week of extremely poor air quality without these mask. Like all mask they have to be adjusted to fit tightly around your nose and chin. This can be a little unpleasant because most of us are not use to wearlng face mask but some unpleasantness is better than breathing in toxins. The best part is the color, greyish black, so many men asked me where I got these mask because they are less noticeable and they are kind of cool looking for a mask.

I stock these for occasional work around home - and for emergencies. I have a stash of N95 basic bird flu masks - but these masks have the ventilator for improved breathing, and have the ability to handle fumes and odors with the carbon coating. I appreciated people mentioning they worked well in the CA fires - thats a big plus as most filter wont deal well with smoke. Also the fold flat is nice as is the stylish dark color - I keep one in a zip lock baggie in my work backpack that I take into the city. Lastly someone complained they were too big for them - that also sold me on these as I am a big guy.

Nose and cheek areas aren't as cushioned as the 3M model, but cheaper for the model with exhaust valve. I usually find it biting in about 1-2 hours after donning them, whereas the 3M can go all afternoon long.That just means a few minutes relaxing with them off.They do work well keeping the dust out mowing and blowing the yard clean better than the cheap surgical masks you see at the dollar store, and easier to breathe with the valve.I use these for frequent mowing, tree trimming, and cleaning use where I'll be surrounded by dust for an hour or more.For serious fence cleaning and painting however, I go with the 3M 8577 for the serious odor blocking due to the carbon layer and better multi-hour fit when I'm out there eight hours restaining the fence by hand.

I was looking for 3M n95 masks and found this one. I liked the color. It is black, not white. Price is similar to 3M. So i thought it will be the same but it does not fit to face properly. It is big, not for any adult face. My face is just normal kind of face in terms of shape and size. I can feel the gap in the cheek and chin. So i really doubt it can protect me inhaling harmful particles. I will test and update.

Purchased this item for use in my wood shop. The respirator functions well protecting against fine particle dust while sanding. I found this mask to fit quite comfortably around the bridge of the nose where most disposable masks tend to create a pressure point. I can wear this mask for extended periods of time without discomfort. The fabric covered band is a nice upgrade from the rubber band masks I’ve used in the past. Keeps from snagging my hair when taking the mask off and on. Found that the grey color on the outside mask actually helps from light reflecting off the mask and less straining on the eye. If your in the market for disposable masks I’d highly recommend giving these a try.

I purchased these masks to filter the smoke from the wildfires we had in Calif. recently. Only had to use them a couple days but was very glad I had them.

I was introduced to plasti dip and decided to do some work on my car. these mask have work good, since I work on an open area, so no excessive fumes or vapors concentrations.

This is perfect for off-road vehicles in the dirt or sand. Highly recommend them.
