FURminator Small Animal DeShedding Tool

I purchased the FURminator to help groom my rabbit (mini-lop). I had already tried at least 4 other combs all of which had problems (not durable, hard to remove fur from bristles, not efficient).The FURminator is fantastic. It is really efficient (I can remove more loose fur in less time compared to the other combs that I have used) which is great because my bunny is not a fan of grooming time.It is so easy to remove the fur, just a push of a button and it pops off.It is very sturdy and durable unlike the other combs that I have used which have had bristles that warp easily.I have used it successfully and my bunny has not reacted badly to it (which he has done previously with some combs). I would suggest care when using it though as the head is a little wide and is rigid (so it doesn't mould to the contours of the body) and this can make it difficult to use (when you have a small pet with a small body).

I never write reviews for any products but this brush is amazing for deshedding my rabbit, he needs slight distraction to let me use it but not much and seems happy with me using it on him. It takes out so much hair and is great and easy to use, only found a slight issue with it which is the hair ejector doesn’t work well but I presume that’s because his hair is so thin, easy enough to pull it off with your fingers though. Would 100% recommend, a lot better than any other combs I’ve used before!!

After trying several different grooming brushes for my rabbit, I decided to give this one a go, and I'm very glad I did! Not only is it amazingly effective, but my rabbit likes it as well. He has what I would describe as thick, medium-length fur, and a five minute brushing session with this brush during shedding season produces a pile of fluff as big as he is. While with other brushes he couldn't get away quick enough, he will happily sit still for ages to be groomed with the furminator, and even 'tooth purs'. I assume he likes the massaging effect, because he turns his head to it and nudges it to get me to keep grooming his nose and cheeks. Unlike the other brushes, it also tugs out hair that has loosened but not come to the surface yet, which means less fluff filling the house between brushing sessions and, most importantly, less fluff being swallowed by your rabbit self-grooming. Definitely recommend for bunnies!

My rabbits hate being brushed and now they hate me! For the few minutes I did manage to use it on one of my bunnies it was excellent and an amazing amount of fur removed. I'm not sure I'll get near him ever again though. Lol. It is very expensive for a brush. Other metal type brushes are just as good for a fraction of the cost. They might not remove quite as much fur, so I guess it depends what you're looking for. I'm not sure it warrants the cost but it is a good brush.

Brought to help my holland lop get through a moult. He isn't the easiest to hold but he didn't seem to mind. It took out a lot of hair and yet there seems to be plenty left on him! I did check skin after use as he is a white bun this is easy to see. It hasn't left marks or scratches. You will need to hold the comb more parallel to body when brushing to get undercoat. Very effective piece of kit.

Arrived quickly and good quality. This gets SO much hair out its unreal I tend to question if I've combed three rabbits, not one small Netherland!My rabbit is very very thankful after use, you can visibly see her so much more content.So glad I brought it!

I bought this on a recommendation from a friend (he has one for his cat)and I'm so glad I did.I have 2 rabbits, both who dislike being groomed. The smaller one is a mini lop and is a big ball of fluff! She is currently molting and her hair is everywhere (and plenty of it). This brush is great, the 1st use removed plenty of shedding hair and they both actually like it. I'll admit they wont sit for ages but they certainly don't mind me using it on them.It was more money than I had planned to spend but I have no complaints about it

Great for my rabbits! Get loads of fur out. Rabbits don't seem too keen and it seems quite rough. I wouldn't recommend for guinea pigs, used it on mine and they did not like it and it did less than a regular brush, far too rough for them! I wonder if this actually takes out more 'healthy' fur and actual 'dead' so I might be concerned if it was over used, so perhaps keep an eye on your pets coat and make sure it is remaining healthy. It has definitely helped through this shedding season and I have less fur over my furniture!
