Well presented stories, children ask to read

A godparent gave this to one of our kids years ago. We wore out the first copy (7 kids) so I bought a replacement. Now we've bought several copies for our grandkids' families. Funny quirk - this version uses British pounds instead of dollars!! We just noticed that and had a good laugh over it. Not sure how to select an American vs. British edition, but it really doesn't matter. It's a very engaging collection of parables.

Pages weren’t fully cut during production so you can’t turn ~20 pages of the book. I can’t find a way to contact the seller; I’d really like to have it replaced in time for Christmas since it’s a gift 🎄🎁

I love this book for Sunday School. I also have the coloring book version. I plan to make actual Story Cards out of a few of the stories. My favorite is the Shepherd going after the one lost lamb.

Our kids, now teenagers, both absolutely loved this book, which presents a fresh spin on classic Bible stories. The stories are written in a lively, contemporary style and the pictures are delightful -- I think that kids can see themselves participating in these stories. I just purchased two copies to save for when they are older and have kids of their own. This is one of the few books that I would encourage all parents to enjoy with their children - starting in toddlerhood.

My family has adored this book for 12 years now. We recently purchased a copy for my nephew and would recommend this book to anyone. We love the stories and the illustrations. Our own copy is falling apart from so much love. Highly recommended!

Great book

Such a lovely way to tell children the parables of Jesus without being too complicated. My five year old granddaughter loves the stories and the simple language makes it easy for her to understand.

I bought this while back and judging by my son's reactions to animal stories a out Jesus (not impressed) I hadn't held out any hope for this one. I was thinking of donating it to our local church group..but decided to try it once and see... Oh how wrong I was, My son ABSOLUTELY loves this book..he asks where it is, everyday.

This is a great book to be read to a little child.A great intro to Bible stories and Christian morality in language little ones can understand. The pictures are colourful and entertaining and the overall quality is excellent. Mick Inkpen has illustrated it and his representations of the characters are spot on!I bought this as a Christening gift as I thought it showed more consideration than the usual silver money boxes etc! Also it introduces a love of reading, which is so important to caring parents. Plus you can write in it, the occasion, recipient and gift-giver, so it can never be forgotten.The only reason I haven't given a 5 star rating is because it is a lot smaller in size than I expected; it's about 6" square.Thoroughly recommended though and very well received.

These books are beautifully illustrated and wonderful stories to engage children in bible stories. I had them for my own children and am now buying them for the next generation! Personally I preferred the older versions that had more muted colours on the covers rather than the bright red and green

We have both bought this book for family members for their christenings and had it bought for us as my daughter's christening present. These stories are very readable and keep the attention of very young babies and toddlers as well as older children. This has been a favourite book for nearly two years now and all of the stories are eagerly listened too and requested. We will definitely buy this book again as a present, we also like other books by Mick Inkpen and Nick Butterworth; Kipper stories and Just like Jasper.
