great!
I bought this as a student looking to buy a cheap record player to play modern vinyl records on. At first i was hesistant to buy it after reading the reviews of it skipping a lot on modern vinyl, however i decided to take a gamble and it was worth it - its is great and it is what you would expect from a cheap record player. It does make a slight noise as the records turns, however this is drowned out by the music. In order to stop the track skipping on some records, you can put a very small weight on the arm, which does the job and the records play fine. The sound quality is what you would expect from a cheap record player - it is still pretty good quality for the price. It also looks very good and is very compact, and delivery was quick.Would definitely recomend this for anyone looking for a cheap record player.

Great!!
Just what I was looking for! Not too expensive with all the features I needed! Not too heavy, plug in and play! Brilliant! There's connections for added bass or audio equipment and headphones which is great as the built in speakers are very top heavy or tinny on there own but passable so I give them 3/5!

Pity it didn't work correctly
Bought this as a gift but it didn't work as every record skipped or jumped. On most record players there is a part that allows you to adjust the pressure of the stylus pressing down to help resolve this. This one didn't have one. From the part of the record that did play without skipping the sound was good.

Great little record player
Lovely bit of kit. All I want to do is play my old vinyl and it works a treat. The fact it is small in size and has self contained speakers is a bonus. It does struggle with SOME BUT NOT ALL 'modern' vinyl, which is thinner. I think that this is because the turntable is small and so the overhanging vinyl bounces more. I may try the old 'penny on the head' trick and see if this works.Slight downside is that the turntable movement is a bit loud but this can't be heard whilst the music is playing.I have yet to try it with speakers or link it to a PC but, frankly, it already does everything I wanted it to do. Got mine on an Amazon Warehouse Deal and so about £12 cheaper than the current price, that said - I would be happy to pay full price for the nostalgia and pleasure provided already.

Neat & Small
Nice neat piece of equipment, purchased a USB turntable several years ago, this is much better, I can attach to my surround sound via the back audio sockets, already transferred a track from an old LP to my PC via the headphone socket. Very portable, has a center piece if 45's are missing their middle. it also has an auto stop which means if you want to move the arm to a specific track the disc is not moving less chance of damage also stops when the LP has been played. Well packed and quick delivery had a great time new years eve playing old LP's with several friends connected to DVD surround sound system belonging to someone else.

Retro Record Player
Having dumped a turntable many years ago, after transferring all my albums to tapes, somebody went and invented the CD ! Curses! Several years later, how does one copy selected tracks to CD/MP3? Simples! Buy this neat and tidy little machine, connect it to a decoder ( also bought via Amazon) and away you go. According to other customer reviews, this is certainly the right kit for ancient vinyl. My 60's & 70's tracks come over quite well if you use it simply as a record player, but it's strength is really in it's ability to hook up to any device for data transfer. For this price it really is a pleasing little machine.

good but get what you pay for
i rated it a 4 star mainly with respect to the price. it's the cheapest player i could find and so for the money it thought it deserved 4 out of 5.what i would say is what has been mentioned is the sound quality isn't that good. you really have to connect it to a good amp.the other little complaint i would say is that it doesn't have a lifting arm which makes it a bit tricky to put the needle on sometimes. also the needle arm doesn't automatically return back to it's stand.on balance i'd reccomend this to someone only if they knew the facts mentioned above and wanted just a cheap player.
