Works just like the nail salon's do. Nice wide area for your hands or feet so no need to fear hitting wet nails on the edges.

Really worth the money

I am an at-home nail diy-er. I've been doing my own gel nail overlays for 6 or 7 years and when I started LED was very new and very expensive so I have always used a CFL lamp. I recently decided it was time to upgrade, but since I am not a professional and only do this for myself, I wasn't sure I wanted to pay the big bucks for a professional-grade lamp. I took the plunge and ordered this lamp a couple of weeks ago and have used it several times since.The lamp looks as advertised - the buttons and digital display on the top are great and work as expected. I like the black interior, however, I suspect a more reflective interior would be more beneficial for curing of different gels. The lamp is very light-weight and easy for me to move around as needed as I'm working and the buttons on the top are great. I do wish there was a Power button though. Being able to shut the digital display off when the lamp is not in use would be nice, instead, I have to unplug the lamp whenever I am not working with it.I do not have issues with gel curing - this lamp is significantly faster than my CFL Lamp - however, it is worth noting that even after the gel is set it does take some time for it to feel fully cured. This has in no way interfered with my nails and I believe this is fairly standard for my brand of gel. To be clear, the gel is cured and after removing the inhibition layer I have no problems performing any tasks with my hands, there is just a slight sense of the gel not being quite done. From the research that I've done, I believe this is fairly normal. Again, the gel is hard and I have no issues using my hands after curing in the lamp.I do not often use the motion detection feature in the lamp and I prefer for the lamp to turn off after a predetermined time, however, I have experimented with it a bit and find that my hand really has to be fully in the lamp before the lamp turns on using the motion detection. This is okay - unless I am just trying to cure my thumb, then it would be an issue, however since this is not a feature that I tend to use that often, it is not an issue for me.Overall, I would recommend this product.

One of the best purchases! My daughters use this for gel nails and mini brand products that you have to build and put in the sunlight. We love this product and I am very happy with the purchase.

I started doing my own gel manicure at home a few months ago. This light is strong enough to cure both by gelish flexi foundation and the gel color I put on top. I used the 60 second cure time. Not sure if it would cure faster but I know at 60 I’m good. I like the motion sensor activation that turns it on automatically when I put my hand in. I do wish the bottom came off for pedicures but my toes still forming for a gel pedi. Light weight and easy to store. I can’t speak to how the LEDs hold up over time as I’ve only had for 2 months but will update if there’s an issue.
