I use this to light my cigars on occasion. I love the quiet and very gentle to press electronic ignitor button. I love that it has a soft and torch flame for windy conditions. It is about the perfect size and fits your hand perfectly. It doesn't get too hot and can be put right back in your pocket. My only complaint really is even turned down it goes through butane quickly. It burns more butane on the soft flame. I tested this fine product in a bunch of conditions and it holds up even in 20 degree weather. Anyone that says otherwise doesn't follow directions on filling or just got a bad lighter and that happens with any product. Luckily butane is relatively cheap and putting a larger tank in it would ruin it's perfect size. This is now my go to lighter. Worth every penny so far and everyone I loan it to wants one. Really great job. I love the window that lets you see your butane level. I took a pic do you could see the window. It's very easy to fill also.

This product is amazing and works flawlessly. I also very much enjoy the gas window in the front! It is light weight (and way more compact than I expected) and the outside covering is so comfortable to hold on to while at the same time being a very effective and versatile grip. I have seen some very low rated reviews on this and my response to them is that you all need to learn how to bleed and properly refill your lighters before you leave a bad rating/review on such an AMAZING product. I have owned hundreds, possibly thousands, of jet/torch lighters and almost all of them lacked the feature to change the flame from soft to jet. Those that I have owned that did feature this implement required you to discontinue current use and switch modes before lighting again whereas this lighter can flawlessly switch from soft flame to a jet and back while still being lit in either mode without discontinuing flame. Thank you this is a wonderful product and I will be ordering more!!!

The quality of the lighter itself is very good. Has a nice heavy feel. It does take some practice to adjust the controls to achieve the optimal flame. But the lighter did not come with any instructions. Had to do an Internet search and use another vendors instructions to figure out how to fill a butane lighter and adjust the valves. The instructions did finally come via email, but a few days after the order arrived. It would be better if instructions were bundled into the package. Because of this, I can't give it the 5 stars it probably deserves.

Looks good, easy to refill, but performs just "ok". The torch used to light on the first strike, but now requires 3-4 attempts. Also, the flame adjustment slider on top is too loose for my liking. I may light a cigar and drop it in my shirt pocket, but then if I need to re-light, the slider will manage to move from jet flame to a soft flame just in my pocket. Thi happens 90% of the time which is annoying. I do not regret my purchase since similarly priced competition look like toys and have the same issues with multiple strikes to light.

I liked this lighter so much that I bought another two of them after getting the first one. First off it has a clear tank so you can see that it's getting filled when you're refilling it. Love that! Secondly the jet flame can be turned down so it doesn't seem like you're trying to cut through metal. Thirdly it was a switch that turns the jet flame into a normal flame. The paper work sez that you can't light it in that mode, but you can 70% of the time.I use these to light a pipe and it works great. The flame in both modes easily stays away from your fingers and is a joy to light. Comes in a nice gift box suitable for wrapping.

Bought to use as heat based eraser for FriXion pen ink. The size, shape, ignition, and flame characteristics were criteria for selection of this product. It seemed nearly ideal for this purpose and has proved to be so in practice.There are some minor quibbles with this lighter. The selection switch to change between flame (similar to a regular butane lighter) and torch (just like it sounds and used for my erasing purposes) is a bit loose. Also, the lighter doesn't ignite well on the first attempt after switching from flame to torch. This is trivial since the switch is seldom used (flame only used for sealing the ends of synthetic cordage, lighting birthday candles, heating shrink-wrap tubing, and other relatively rare events.)The ignition trigger is very responsive to multiple rapid succession quick clicks for little puffs of the torch to erase thermo-sensitive ink. Overall the lighter has a nice little heft -due to metal construction- without being overly heavy. It doesn't seem to get overly hot with my usage and holds a good quantity of fuel. The black paint/coating seems durable as well.I don't recommend that anyone smoke, but this would seem a good lighter for igniting cigarettes (flame mode) or pipes/cigars (torch mode.)

The media could not be loaded. I bought this lighter initially to use the torch feature, which for the first few uses was great. However, after a very short time the slide switch on top used to choose between flame and torch became so loose that it moves by gravity alone. Pointing the lighter down to light a pipe drops the switch to the flame position unless I put something on the barrel to hold the slide switch in place.Finally, I gave up and decided to use the flame setting, but that led to another problem. As with most lighters, the flame height adjustment is a tiny phillips head screw on the bottom that requires a small screwdriver to turn. Although I was able to leave the setting low for the torch setting, the flame is unreliable and too high when it does light, making it likely I'll burn my fingers in the process.You get what you pay for.

This lighter looks nice, but it's a crappy lighter. The torch function works okay, but the "soft" flame function is useless. It just doesn't perform. After 5 uses it doesn't light up. When it did it burned the plastic case.
