The heading says this is wooden, but the description does state MDF (which it is).This item arrives flat packed with the 2 MDF table surfaces, a rear metal support which extends up to form the handle and 2 front metal supports. Also supplied is a sheet with simple diagram instructions, a bag of plastic castors and a bag of bolts, allen key (for the bolts) and small spanner (for the castors).It's a very straightforward build, with just 12 bolts needed to attach the tabletops to the framing. There were a generous 6 extra bolts supplied. If you have them to hand, a screwdriver with allen/hex attachments and a chunkier spanner will speed things up a bit, but it's still quick enough - I did it with the tools supplied in around 20-30 minutes.Though veneered MDF, the tabletops are very thick and do look pretty good. The matt, woodgrain textured surface veneer wraps over the tops & sides, so it does look unlikely that this would chip & peel away. The underside has a separate layer of glossy veneer, and this looks good, too.Once built, the trolley is very stable and strong, and would serve well as a drinks trolley or to transfer food, especially with the veneer wrap, so will be completely waterproof and easy to clean. There's a rim around the edges, so this would catch any spills.
