Got this to help my elderly parents get in and out of my lifted truck. Its the perfect height, seems very stable, and packs down very small. The 500lb rating seems to be for static weight so don't expect it to handle a 500lb person getting on and off this thing regularly. However, it seems to handle the combined weight of me (200lbs) and my dog (50lbs) bouncing up and down with very little flexing or any signs of impending failure (she was the heaviest thing I was willing to pick up for my test). One potential drawback i observed is that the screws at the pivot points of each leg are held on my nylock nuts (good) but there is very little thread engagement (not great). They are more or less flush against the end of the nut. I will have to keep an eye on those to make sure they don't loosen on their own over time. If they do, its nothing some red loctite wont fix but I still wanted to mention it.

This step stool is sturdy, stable, and feels very secure. It folds easily for storage, and the non-slip platform provides great confidence when using it. Excellent quality and well worth the purchase.

Love the stool to get out of our truck. It’s pretty high have bad knees. This helps a lot love it. I got the 500 pound just to be safe. I don’t weigh that but the difference in price I went with the heaviest hold

This is a great stool! It is a bit heavy due to the heavy metal. That is great for me. I just mention it in case it's weight is an issue for anyone. It has great stability. I have used it for several months and have complete trust that it is safe. This is important to me because I have vestibular/balance issues. I love that the legs fold in underneath. Because I'm pretty short, I always have stools around. Ones that don't fold are a pain to store. I have this folded and stored in my laundry room for easy access. I highly recommend this item.

This stool is study and didnt rock or give way under my weight. I liked that there were many height levels and that it came a carrying bag. My only issue was that I found it difficult to adjust the leg height and pinched my fingers. So I returned it. But other than that it worked well.

This is very sturdy, inexpensive & works for my needs. Great grip pn the legs & surface, as you step on it. Quality product.

This is a great height for seniors wanting to do step-up, step-down exercising due to it being VERY stable and a lower height that than usual stools designed for step ups. It is also great for that 'extra' required for daily reaching for high up items. No assembly required, can be quickly folded for space-saving, but I keep mine open and available for daily usage. The top is non-slip and it has a handle on the side for carring.

I flipped the axles on my camper making it about 7" higher than original so I put this at the bottom of the fold out steps. It's sturdy, easy to set up and collapse and can be adjusted for uneven ground.
