To start off, I'm not biased in my brand loyalty. I don't work for any manufacturers nor do I resale any products. I am, however, very passionate about technology and its' accompanying accessories. I research solutions to my needs in great detail, and form strong opinions for certain products that meet my high standards. I had a need to wall mount (2) 27" high end HP monitors. After said detailed research, I came across this offering from Ergotron. The pricing is rather high for the track necessary to use this mount, however, you do, in this case, get what you pay for. The product arrived well packaged, and made of sturdy extruded aluminum, precision milled. Everything about this mount screams quality and it includes SEVERAL different mounting offsets for various horizontal and vertical uses for many other mounts besides the VESA which I purchased it for. There is a reason you will find this product line in hospitals and labs. It is the best solution at this time.

This product, while sturdy and well made, does not even include fasteners/screws to use when mounting the device. Coupled with the fact that this product is useless on its own and needs a monitor arm and track mount to be used - its unacceptable and frustrating. Ergotron wants you to spend $500+ to buy the arm, wall plate, and track but won't even include screws!

The grouping worked out perfectly freeing up floor space to make the plotter area much more efficient with the area available.

You don't need it, like their site suggests. It was also missing a piece that had to be bought separately to connect the track to the wall mount. I also saw that right after I bought it that it was listed as discontinued. My guess would be that it is because the product isn't needed.
