This plug works really well!!Be sure to have the blue light blinking fast (by pressing the button on plug for 5 seconds at times until it displays in this manner). Also, when I was initially setting up this plug (I used the TuyaSmart app on my iPhone), I had 4 wi-fi plugs set-up already in my home already. I was not able to add this plug to the app until I temporarily unplugged one of my other wi-fi plugs. I then was able to successfully add this one. I then plugged the other one back in. All are working well.Note: this plug can blink fast as a red/pink light, slow as a red/pink light, slow as a blue light, or fast as a blue light.. Press the button on this plug for 5 seconds and the light color or speed will change. Repeat the step of holding the button down for 5 seconds until it is blinking as a fast blue light. You are then ready to add this plug to either the Smart Life app or the TuyaSmart app.

This Bropang Outlet is the best product I have purchased for my "smart home"! I had it working very quickly and now move it around the house to test current draw on appliances and test voltage drop to check the wiring in my older home. I have a number of other brands, but this has been the best. It has become a useful TOOL although advertised as a remote controlled outlet. It was super easy to setup. I used the Tuya App. Super pumped it allows this app, I have the rest of my house on the Tuya App, but not all smart plugs can work with the app and it makes it annoying. Happy to say this is along side of all my other smart plugs now in the same app. It allows access to the other plug on the outlet, no problem. Setup was a breeze, held the power button for 5 seconds and once it’s blinking fast asked the Tuya App to find it. Named the outlet and I was done! I went into my Alexa app to make sure it updated to see the new plug in the Smart Home tab and I was done! Easy and now working with my network of Alexas around the house.

I was really excited about this product. I bought it so that I could turn my air conditioner on and off when I'm not home. It was super easy to set-up but immediately after turning it on (and getting my AC to work) and then turning it off, it would no longer turn on. The smart plug outlet itself will no longer work. Prior to purchasing, I sent all the specifications listed to my brother-in-law who is an electrician and he said it should work. Well it doesn't! Very disappointed!

I got this energy monitoring smart plug about two weeks ago and it has changed my life forever. Mostly in small ways, but still, every bit counts. The plug has a remotely-controlled switch like the "WiFi Mini Smart Plug Outlet" from the same company (which I also bought), but also contains and integrated electricity meter. The meter can be read live from one's smartphone. Consider the possibilities!I've had a longstanding issue while doing laundry that I can't hear the washing machine completing its cycle. The washing machine is in the basement, and I am not, and as a result, precious time is wasted during the laundry process as I run up and down the stairs to check if it's finished yet. No more! I can just look at my smartphone to read if it's still drawing power. What a time to be alive!I also know how much power it takes per load. 0.22 kWh. Now you know it too.Anyway, it shipped quickly, integrated easily, and works as expected. Before I got it, I was on the fence regarding adding IoT gizmos to my home. Having used this for a while, I'm happy with the gadget.

I’m impressed with this little smart plug. I had it up and running within 10 minutes of opening the package. That included downloading the app and registration. It works great with the Smart Life app I downloaded on my iPhone. It’s easy to turn off and on.The plug is small enough that you have room to use the other outlet next to it for another cord.I’m currently using this one for the bedroom light. Now I can turn it off and on from bed. I’ll probably buy more for other things in my house.

I got this and the smart plug with the energy meter about two weeks ago. I am now a believer in IoT gadgets.Let me tell you about my dear wife. From the outside you wouldn't know it, as she is a smart person, but she is afflicted with a disorder caused by childhood trauma that damaged the turn-the-lights-off-when-you-leave-the-room center of her brain. Fortunately, through miracles of modern medicine, she's been able to reach adulthood, surpassing the energy-conscious doctors' prognosis. This is not to say the disorder hasn't affected the people in her life, however. I would be lying if I said it hasn't put a strain on our marriage.But now, thanks to this smart plug, she can finally lead a normal life. The status of the living room lamp can be queried in bed, lights can be turned off remotely, and we can even yell at Alexa to do it.Our marriage is saved! Thanks, Bropang!

I plugged the wifi-connected smart plug to the wall socket (a GFI socket) and turned it on and then connected my window air onditioner (nominal 11.6A draw) and manually turned on the air conditioner--everything worked. I then turned off the smart plug and tried to turn it back on via wifi and it blew out.If the smart plug cannot turn on when connected to a turned on appliance, it is not useful for its intended purpose.
