This oil smells mainly of lilies and lily-of-the valley. It is missing a certain depth and earthiness I expect from "China Rain," (it should have something like violet or ylang-ylang, musk, powder? I detect none of those.) It did not trigger any nostalgia or memories. That said, it doesn't smell bad, it just smells simple and a bit sharp. I think it could be doctored up by layering with an earthy or powdery scent.

This is my signature scent. I get so many compliments - I love it.

35 year ago I started wearing a scent called China Rain in a small store in Minneapolis and loved it. I was anxious to see of the scent I received was somewhat like the China Rain of old. I love this scent, it's almost what I remember.

I’ve been using this oil since 2010 and it is just AMAZING- I get compliments ALL the time. All my coworkers have it now too. I got a the same oil from a different company and it also smells soooo good.

Don't order this product. The scent is non existence, just getting the oil off the rim of the bottle when you remove the cap and place it on your skin you smell nothing . Don't waste your money on this product.

This smells sooooooo good. My absolute favorite fragrance, and it came a day early. I was apprehensive because the bottles I usually get are clear, and there is a light pinkish tint to the oil in this one. Overall, I am super happy.
