ACK-E6 Power Cable

With a Canon 80D you'll find it might work for hours, or it might turn off after a few minutes. In the same position, in the same room, in the same conditions, with reliable power and auto-power off disabled, the camera turned off unpredictably. It ruins time lapses or anything you'd want to do with an interval time.While, in general it works, the power cable is a little thick which makes closing the battery compartment worrying, it would work for photoshoots. I can't recommend it for interval timer work.

This is not the first DC Couple I've purchased. I tried another and at times the camera would not detect that there was a battery installed and would suddenly shut down. I bought this because I got sick of having to constantly charge batteries. I use my Canon 70d as a vlogging camera at home and am able to shoot for hours with the coupler plugged in wall power. I also have a 70D that I take out in the field. I was able to connect the coupler to my shoulder rig VMount battery and literally shoot all day without a single battery change. This this is GREAT

I had been looking for a way to power my Canon 6D using a battery pack and this little coupler fits the bill perfectly. Earlier I had bought another coupler -  Glorich ACK-E6 replacement AC Power Adapter Kit for Canon EOS 5DS, 5DS R, 5D Mark II, 5D Mark III, 5D Mark IV, 60D, 60Da, 6D, 70D, 7D, 7D Mark II, 80D DSLR Cameras, with Fully-Decoded Smart Chip  but ended up returning it as it did not have have a way to use DC power and instead forced the use of the AC adapter.This DC coupler has a convenient USB adapter and works very well with my  Anker PowerCore 26800 Portable Charger, 26800mAh External Battery with Dual Input Port and Double-Speed Recharging, 3 USB Ports for iPhone, iPad, Samsung Galaxy, Android and other Smart Devices This is my initial impression on the first test using the coupler with my Canon 6D and I will update the review if anything else changes in the performance of this dummy battery.

it works perfectly with my canon 80D and an Anker battery pack. the cord is longer than expected so I used velcro ties to shorten it.cant wait to use my 80D at a wedding event soon!
