This alarm is compact and much better than the larger round ones, tucks only the pipes on my boiler easily.The digital display is a great feature enabling you to know your exact reading and the 10 year battery is a bonus.I will buy one for each room.

This Carbon Monoxide alarm detector comes packaged in a simple card box which includes fixings and a basic instruction booklet which shows how easy it is to set up (basically just turn it on!) and a listing of the indicators you might see, as well as the best places to locate the unit.When the batteries are activated, the alarm sets itself up and then it's ready to use. I tried the test function (should have worn ear defenders!) and it will certainly be heard throughout the house. I also like the fact it can be used freestanding or attached to a wall (and they've included the fixing for wall mounting). I'm replacing a 10-year old unit and really like the fact the CO level shows all the time (my cold one just alerts you if there's an issue) and it also shows the battery strength, which will be reassuring when it's coming to the end of its life. It's a shame these units are then thrown away but it's peace of mind that the unit's functioning on current technology, plus it won't run out for 10 years!Overall I'm very pleased and at time of reviewing, they had a 30% discount bringing it to under £20. I'm not able to test its CO measruing accuracy but then, I couldn't with any CO unit I buy, but it seems good quality and I'm happy to recommend.

Literally will take less than ten minutes to have it fixed on the wall. Or, if like me you have a fireplace, then this can just be freestanding on its feet, placed on a unit or similar.The carbon monoxide detector comes with a built-in battery which lasts 10 years. You can of course test the carbon monoxide detector as and when you want by simply pressing the “Test” button located on the very front of the unit. You just need to hold the button down for around 3 seconds and then a very loud alarm will sound for a split second, confirming that the battery power is still very good. Peace of mind and all that jazz!Furthermore, the LCD display shows you the battery life of the unit along with the current Carbon Monoxide (“CO”) levels in the room. Normal CO levels in the air are around 0-9 ppm. Since having ours up it has shown 0ppm which gives me peace of mind considering I have two young kids in the house.Volume wise, the carbon monoxide detector really does emit a loud alarm which will definitely wake even the heaviest of sleepers. I’m incredibly happy with the carbon monoxide detector. It looks good with the LCD display and the general look of it and appears to read the CO levels well with a reassuring LCD display to keep you in the loop of any increase in levels.Highly recommended.
