Bee House Ceramic Round Teapo, Carrot

Nice pot for a cup of fresh brew. Is a bit smaller than my old one that it replaced. Would suggest checking out the one larger for that 2nd cup.

I bought this to replace one of the two Bee House teapots I have used for many years. (I dropped the old one into the sink -- sadly -- and it exploded into bits.) These are well-designed pots. One pot fills one large mug. Although the intention behind making the lid completely removable was to allow the pot to be heated in the microwave, it's a nice detail even for those who don't do that. With the lid removed, the pot is easily cleaned in the top level of the dishwasher (some Bee House glazes, though, must be hand washed, so beware). I think the company may have improved the pouring spout, since this pot pours much better than my last one. I do think it's way overpriced, and I know I payed about $15 for my last pot, but I justify the price by telling myself this will get much use.Other details: Do not put the strainer in the dishwasher with the drying cycle on, because the heat will cause the mesh to shrivel. Replacement strainers and lids are available online. This "carrot" glaze is not the color of carrots, but more of a papaya -- the color of strawberry papaya, to be specific.

I ordered the "Carrot" colored tea pot and the color is not orange, like in the picture. It is more like a light red or pinkish-orange. Functionally, the teapot is fantastic! Perfect size for 1-2 cups of tea. The mesh cup that holds the loose tea leaves inside is easy to remove and is fine enough to brew sencha tea without the fine leaves getting through. The lid opens easily and is separate from the mesh cup. The teapot I received has a black foreign particle stuck to the inside-bottom of the pot (sealed under the clear glazing), so I plan to return it, as it may break off in the future and break the sealed finish. I want a replacement though, as I feel that this teapot is a good value overall.

Got this to replace one my cat knocked off the counter. I was worried I'd never find the same one. I love the shape. It's the perfect size for my morning tea--allows me to fill up a large mug. I'd guess it holds about 12 ounces or so.

The product arrived on time and in good condition and the orange color was true to the picture. My daughter requested this specific teapot as a gift. I thought it looked small, but purchased it for her anyway. At first glance, she also thought it was small, but has found it's the perfect size for her 2 cups of tea at breakfast.

It was a LOT smaller than I thought it was going to be. Cute though. You can only make steep tea for one person. Thought it was a full size teapot.

Perfect design ! and well made. Love it.

disappointing.. not for serious tea drinkers.. the mesh is high up so you need to fill up the mug all the way and the tea stays high not getting a true brew. i prefer the old school mesh on the spout. returning this as tea comes out really weak.
