Smooth as Silk

Somewhat unusual in that there are really no sympathetic characters in the film, but a very interesting and entertaining movie which reminded me a bit of Universal's Inner Sanctum films.

Good Stuff

Smooth as Silk fits into the B film category. There's murder and pretty women and a cast of male characters (some on the shady side) but what holds it back for me a little bit is that I didn't find the plot all that interesting (about an actress who wants to be in a play and the intrigue that surrounds it). If you like film noir it's certainly worth watching. Three stars is too little but four stars feels like too much. Three and half feels about right.
