Outstanding watch!
Quick shipping. Great packaging. I have worn this watch everyday after it arrived. It is light weight, looks great and lets me see the time. I would recommend. Other notes, It is not too large as I was a little worried about that. It is durable as I already dropped it and banged it again stuff and did not leave a mark. I am super happy with this purchase.

Excellent watch for military Physical Training
There has been quite a few discussions on here regarding the quality of this watch and a line down the middle regarding the lighting of the watch's display and a very small portion of folks indicating that the time was never correct on the watch. To address the point almost half the reviews being made about the lighting, the watch display is lit by a single "amber" colored LED (to save power and provide a low light profile, I imagine) which provides more than adequate lighting for the analog hands on the watch to be viewed in pitch black darkness. The watch has a configuration option which allows you to modify the amount of time the LED light stays on from 1.5 to 3.0 seconds. The default time was sufficient for me to view the time but others may find the additional time convenient. This additional time may be what supplements the ability to view the digital time easier. Another owner of this watch indicated that placing an finger across the watch face from 9 to 3 (across the horizontal horizon) allows for the illumination to better reflect back onto the digital display for easier reading. I concur with this assessment and was able to read the time with both the 1.5 and 3.0 second configuration. This is not to say that the time on the digital display is what I would personally be using in low light conditions but it is definitely possible. Finally, the last point to discuss is the settings of the watch and the provided instruction manual in the packaging. Some have complained that the instructions are far too exhaustive due to the instruction manual being of significant length. To these people I say, "Did you even try cycling through the pages?" The instructions that came with my watch came with at least 4-6 different languages so that others that do not read english could take advantage of this product. The english instructions were probably about 40 pages to include the table of contents and some "Care Instructions". I was able to configure the analogue portion of the watch and the world time (to include modifying the Daylight Savings Time setting) in roughly 5-10 minutes at the most. Those that were unable to properly set this watch either did not focus on the various time zones that are clearly identified in the manual, or did not properly configure the Daylight Savings Time option for their time zone.I can say with great confidence that this watch will more than likely be used very much for work, play and the military and hope that it serves me for a long time because it is a great looking watch. Additionally, for those concerned about the size of the watch, it does have a good size in circumference and height off the wrist, but nothing out of the ordinary such as watches from Invicta dive watches. The weight of the watch is very light for me but I am accustomed to watches made of steel with a steel band and that may be causing me to think the watch is light in weight.Hopefully this conveys a very descriptive point of view regarding this watch and points out the supposed "flaws" others have portrayed in their reviews.

This G-Shock is a Winner
I've been looking for a G-Shock watch for awhile now. With so many different models that look so similar at first glance, it can be hard to know where to start. After a little Google-fu, I settled on this model.Pros:-Rugged: Can take a lick and keep on ticking-Color/Finish: I was looking for something with a nice black matte finish. It's stylish and tacticool all at the same time-Weight/Build Quality: Much lighter than I anticipated, but feels solid and well constructed. I have sensitive skin, and cheap watches cause my wrist to break out. The stainless steal backing and rubber are great on my skin and easy to keep clean-Features: I'm really happy this has both a digital and analog readout. The white analog clock hands are easy to read in most lighting situations, while the digital readout is great for when you want the quick and dirty-Price: G-Shock watches go the forty-dollar range into the hundreds of dollars. This model comes in at under a hundo, and while not cheap, you definitely get a ton of watch for your money.Cons:-Lighting: As many others have stated, the light up feature leaves something to be desired. While the hands show up fine in the orange light, the digital readout is impossible to see at night. Not a deal killer, but worth stating.-Features: It's hard to call this a con at this price point, but other models include solar power and/or atomic time setting. Again, hard to fault this, because there are other G-Shock models that do include this, but you'll pay more for the convenience. Conclusion:I'm very happy with my purchase. Amazon delivers again with price and great shipping, and Casio delivers with a great product. It's hard to go wrong with a G-Shock watch - there is a model for everyone.

Awesome watch! But, don't buy if you really need the digital readouts in low light...
This is a great watch. It's my first G-Shock and I'm very pleased with the purchase. It fits well, feel rugged, and looks sharp wearing it around. This is great for anyone wanting something to take outdoors on the mountain bike trail and then out and about to have dinner in jeans and a polo. The analog hands give it a classier feel than some of the other G-Shocks out there. It isn't small, so make sure you're ready for some bulk on your wrist. This makes it kind of tough to wear with long sleeves or a jacket, but I wasn't getting it to wear with stuff like that. Fleeces or wind breakers are fine as they can me positioned above the watch. I did wear it hunting with multiple layers and gloves, which proved difficult due to the size. It could be done if need be, but it was just a little uncomfortable.I will agree with all the other reviews that the backlight is useless for reading the digital screens. In daylight, or indoors, everything is simple to read at a glance. While the backlight is pretty cool looking with the orange hue, you can't read anything other than the hands. If you are buying this to use the timer, stopwatch, etc., in low light or no light situations, look elsewhere. You won't be able to read them. If you just need to take a quick glance at the time in the dark, or in a movie theater or something, it's great.Overall, I highly recommend.

2nd time owning exact watch
This model I've now owned two watches. The first one lasted about 7-8 years. Finally went to the trash bin when the strap itself broke. Second one, has been going on strong! Love the design, color, and dexterity G shocks have! This watch is worth it, if you like "resin" bands and durability.
