HohnerSpecial 20 Harmonica, Key of A

i think it is one of the best harmonicas for a first harp, or for general practice. rather cheap, but still sound awesome (looks cool), easy to play, because of the big holes, and what is important for beginner (intermediate) blues/rock harpers, is that it is one of the easiest bending harps!!! (well, the low key also helps).if you are buying your (or someone's) first harp, then think no more, this is what you want to buy! (although might not in this key, but if the genre is either blues or rock than this or a D-harp is what i'd recommend. otherwise a C.)

Special 20 harps are hard to find in our area. I can order exactly what my husband needs and delivery is expedient!

Wahoo special 20!I have been using Lee Oskars and a Hohner Big River harp and I can honestly say, this is my favorite so far.The tone is clear and not too bright, the volume is loud without compromising the note, and the reeds are easy to bend without sounding flimsy or weak.If you're a newbie to the mouth harp, I highly recommend clunking down a couple extra dollars for this harp. The shape of the harp is not as thick as the Big River, thus making it easier to play and the ridge on this harp is smoother. (The Big River actually had a sharp edge and was painful to play after a bit.) Playing single notes is much easier on the Special 20 as well.

Unit arrived early and was well packaged. Vendor did a fine job. Unit works as advertised. The special 20 is a great harp. Key of A is a must have as you progress on your musical journey.

This and the other Special 20 harmonicas I purchased recently sound great. They produce a nice sound both at the low and high end, which is exactly what I was looking for. The ease at which I'm able to bend the sound use tongue slapping makes for some interesting sounds.

I'd been trying different harmonicas for my performances and finally tried the Special 20. LOVE IT. All my future harps will be the Special 20. It sounds better, plays better, bends easier, and just all around works better than all other harps in my collection. Highly recommended.
