I have used this in my outboard for several years now... I am impressed that my outboard starts on the first crank after sitting idle for over 8 months... While this product at first seems expensive... 1 oz treats almost 8 gallons of gasoline that contains ethanol... While this product is advertised for marine engines I bought this additive thru Amazon to protect my 2 cycle lawn care products (chain saws, blowers, trimmers, weed wackers) as well as my 4 cycle lawnmowers... Ethanol really is bad for any gasoline engine... Then compound the fact that fuel can sit in your lawn care products for several months or more... The shelf life of gasoline with ethanol is short... Like 3 to 4 weeks as the ethanol absorbs water which means a loss in engine performance as well as engine corrosion.... A friend of mine had recommended this product over Sta-Bil which is an enzyme based product ... The Valvtect formulation is supposed to be over 130% more efficient with regards to stability...This additive keeps your fuel stabilized for up to a year or more...
