Early days but initial impressions favourable
Used this mower four or five times since needing an urgent replacement for my 13 year old mower. On the debit side.1. It doesn’t seem to be a good cold starter needing at least half a dozen pulls, although now the warmer weather has arrived two or three pulls will suffice.2. There seems to be a design fault on the cutting levels. For most ordinary lawn use only levels 1&2 will ever be used with level 1 being equivalent to level 3 on most of the other mowers I have used. It might be a personal preference but I would have preferred a shorter option than level 1, which will not suit those with flat ‘bowling green’ type lawns, and greater versatility from levels 2&3. 4 and above will obviously only be used for much longer grass.3. Disappointing that the height adjustment needs to be done both front and rear. It is thirty years or more since I had a mower needing anything more than single leaver adjustment which is much more convenient.Beyond those three criticisms the mower seems to be well built, has a (usually) reliable B&S engine, restarts first time during use, collects grass particularly well, has a decent bag capacity, is relatively light and manoeuvrable and provides a neat and tidy cut.

A great purchase
A great powerful mower at a great price as well plus quick delivery! - Only thing I would change is by having a polycarbonate or plastic deck as the metal ones do rust after getting scratched which they always do

An excellent lawnmower perfect for a mid-sized garden
The assembly instructions were simple and clear with a small number of steps, and despite this being my first petrol lawnmower, I had it assembled in about 20 minutes. Getting up and running cutting grass took a little longer because I had to “research” how much oil the engine should take due to fear of over-filling it and the very small margin of error that the dip-stick indicates. It’s about 440ml for this model.Starting the engine first time and subsequently is easy - the pull-cord mechanism works perfectly. The mower is relatively light and easy to manoeuvre, with a noise level that is acceptable for the user. The grass collector is perfectly adequate in terms of its capacity - obviously this depends on the grass length and acreage of the lawn that is being mowed. The six options for grass cut length are easy to set with my only (very slight) niggle with the mower being that the lowest setting could do with being a little bit more “severe” in terms of cutting the grass VERY short. This is probably very much a personal preference of mine that goes against all best-practice guidance for lawn maintenance.Overall a quality, well-constructed and effective mower with simple assembly and operation.

Good mower
I had to replace my 20 year old mower. Some mixed reviews about this one [EQ400], but it fitted what I needed and it's a good price.Out of the box the books look daunting; however these are mostly irrelevant and cover around 30 languages. A small piece of paper tells you all you need to know.Very easy to put together: fold out the handle into position and attach 4 bolts. Attach the throttle cable. Attach the eye and run the pull-start cable through it. Put in about .5L of oil and some petrol.Primed it [plenty of pushes to tart with] and it started first time. No need for pulling at it like it's an Olympic event, a gentle pull did it. Much quieter than my old one - so much so I didn't realise it was running to start with. Very light and easy to push around. Cuts close enough for my taste [short].My only issue is the fabric bag; not a fan. Much rather than a plastic box that can be easily cleaned.

Excellent lawnmore
Really easy assemble and easy to start. I've used it 3 times now and a great cut. Halved my cutting time from my old lawnmower. Highly recommended

Nice product but arrived slightly damaged
So far I have put the mower together and used it twice. There was a useful video to help me put it together and it was fairly easy. It started first time and so far I like it.Unfortunately, the front wheel was a bit bent when it arrived. There is a metal plate that attaches the wheel to the body and holds the wheel straight but this one is bent. So the wheel looks bent inwards top to bottom but it functions ok. I wrote to the manufacturer and they said I should send it back but I had already put oil and petrol in and I think I will be able to straighten it. It isn't cheap so I am a bit disappointed it arrived like this.
