Performs well, good selection of available effects
Asmuse Guitar Multi Effect Pedal MG100 Professional ProcessorThis is a decent size pedal measuring in at 25 x 25 x 8 cm, it is not particularly heavy for it's size which is probably due to it's plastic construction although, the base is made from metal. I was pleased to find that the manufacturer has supplied a power supply unit for this, it's a single plug transformer type with a good length cable attached. The pedal has a plastic body with a metal frame built into the base. The two small foot pedals are also plastic but do feel quite sturdy, with the large foot pedal also being plastic with a built in rubber grip pad on the top surface. The small function buttons are rubber with some which light up in various modes. The four main dials are also plastic but again do feel quite sturdy. The main control panel is made from brushed aluminium, this is screwed in place. Mounted within the control panel, along with all the dials & buttons, is a small display screen, this is full colour, it's also quite bright. The display screen gives a lot of information, it is fairly easy to read despite it's size.I have owned and used many multi effects pedals over the years, along with many boutique stand-alone effects pedals. I have purchased this for my son as a gift, so I was keen to give this a try myself before handing it over to him.First thing to note is that this powers up as soon as you plug in the power supply, there is no on/off button which is quite common with other similar effects units. I first tried this going into my amp where it performed without issue, although I did find the sound a little on the bright side, this was rectified by disabling the amp sim from within the edit function on the multi effect pedal.Next I connected this up to my mixer, I did initially have some issues which really were my own fault. The issue I had was that I couldn't receive any sound through the mixer, I then noticed that I had lifted the volume pedal on the multi effects pedal so the sound had been muted. Once the pedal was depressed down as it should have been this then worked fine through the mixer giving a good sound. At first this was a little confusing, but once you get your head around the controls it's really quite easy to work out. Firstly I played through all of the available presets, some were useful, others I will never use but that's par for the course with most multi effects pedals. You do have 37 user presets where you can edit or create your own sounds, I set to work on tweaking a few of the available presets. After a little trial & error I have now created some of my favourite sounds saved to some of the user presets. This pedal has a lot of features, it has a drum machine, looper along with many amp sims, cabinets, various effects pedals along with a foot pedal that can be edited to carry out several different functions.I have gone through most of the amp sims & cabinets, they do give a varied sound so this should suit most styles of guitarist. I play clean guitar, mostly 50's, 60's instrumentals. I was able to program the multi effects unit to give a good sound which was representative of the style that I play. There are 6 delay pedals to choose from, each giving a slightly different sound. This equally accommodates distortion, overdrive even jazz so it should suit most guitarists. This is not a top-end multi effects pedal so it's never going to compete with something that's costing 5 times as much, but really, for what this cost it certainly does deliver. The effects are rock solid, along with the amp sims & cabs, this gives a good crisp sound without any hiss or other nasty background noise. One thing I will note, as I know some will want to know. That is, if this supports multi tap, as in 3 or more heads giving different sets of repeats coming from a single delay unit? The answer is no, neither can you line up delay pedals in the chain. Having said that, you can get a good single multi tap from this. Also there are 3 various reverb pedals available, sadly there is no spring reverb, but you do have plate, room & hall. For what this cost it gives virtually all that most guitar players would want, it does save having a floor full of various pedals scattered around, plus you only need a single power supply unit (supplied). You can get a good sound out of this if you are prepared to spend some time with it. The factory presets are quite decent, giving some good sound,s which will probably be enough for many without ever having to touch the edit button. But then again, what guitarist doesn't want to fiddle with the dials? - Recommended!Contents -1 x Multi Effects Pedal1 x Owners manual1 x Nux stickerIf you have found my review at all helpful I would very much appreciate if you could click the 'Helpful' button below, thank you.

Blew me away.
If you're thinking about getting one of these - stop thinking & buy it.The last time I encountered a digital "do it all" effect unit was some years ago now & they really weren't all that back then. Well they are now. I've had this just over 24 hours & I cannot believe how well I'm getting on with it & how great some of the settings are. The presets are easy & quick to cycle through & I thought they'd be difficult to edit, but they're not. There's some lovely preset combinations & editing is so easy that it takes no time to change ones you don't like. Some reviewers on other sites have commented about the crunch/ distortion/ od tones being thin or raspy. It's actually true that some of them are but 2 things - Firstly that's what they will sound like coming through a 10w/ 15w solid state amp (most high gain effects will sound bad like that) I haven't tried it yet but play them through a decent tube or cabinet set up & I think the higher gain settings will sound fine. I'm coming through a solid state 20w special design speaker at the moment. Just a few of the high gain settings didn't sound so good so - Second point - you can edit every aspect of the sounds, so if it's not doing what you want edit it, simply adjust the gain &/or the presence & before you know it things are sounding sweet.I've had a little play with the "jam" section. I thought that would be really tricky to use, but that's also really straightforward. Nice range of beats, easy to change the bpm & the option to alter the time signature really surprised me, I wasn't expecting such an advanced option on what's supposedly an "entry level" multi effect. Not tried the looper yet, but if the rest of the features are anything to go by then I expect that's good too.Far from intergrating this into the rest of my pedalboard, I'm now sat here looking at my traditional set up & wondering if I need it any more... Obviously I'll keep it as f this broke I'd be completely sunk.Big question I see a lot of people asking about these - could you use it live? I really don't see why not. You'd have to know where your presets were or arrange them in an order where you could quickly swap between them according to your needs. The quickest way to do that would be to squat down & use the select wheel (not the best solution, but you really can be quick that way) or if you had them set in the order you need then tapping the up or down footswitch would quickly take you to where you needed to be.Build quality seems pretty tough, but parts of it are made from plastic, so don't give it a hard time. Treat it with respect & it looks like it will last. I see some people say theirs broke because it was "flimsy". They must have a different definition of what flimsy is, because it seems solid to me. I think some people must literally be jumping on their pedals, then blame the pedal if it breaks, rather than themselves for thinking that something made of plastic will take that kind of abuse. Don't give it a hard time & I'm sure it will be just fine. This really is a first rate bit of kit. Can't recommend it enough. I'd even go so far as to say it's improved my playing. It's not that it's made me sound like a better guitarist, rather because I'm now happy with how I sound I really can play at the next level (I just started singing whist playing, something I never thought I'd be able to do!) which after only 24 hours with this thing is is amazing.Ok so I decided to add a footnote. I tried this with a tube amp & things didn't go nearly as well. Cleans & echo were fine, but distorted tones did not work at all. I still stand by my review, but it all applied to use with a solid state amplifier. Have changed my score from 5 stars to 4 to reflect this.

Fantastic! versatile with brilliant selection of sounds
I've tried playing guitar off and on for over 40 years. Just for my own enjoyment as a bedroom guitar hero. The MG-100 adds so much to my lone strumming, with a superb selection of amp tones and effects, including 40 second looper and drum machine. I like to kid myself that If this had been available 40 years ago at this price I might now be playing in a rock band world wide.🎸🤘👍👏

Can you understand?
I think it does what it's supposed to, but it reads like it's been translated about 5 times. YouTube helps
