Crown Punderdome: A Card Game for Pun Lovers

Bought it cause we like punny things. We hoped it would be more a game than a competition of wits, but the game is, essentially, a lot of prompt cards for you, dear consumer, to use your own brain to deal out some punnage. A random word generator could probably do the job. I know I'm totally miserable, the game is beautifully made and is played with occasionally, but it's too much like hard work to for us to really get into.

This game is pretty straight forward. Everyone sees the same two cards which have two different subjects on and you have to combine both to make a pun. It may be in a statement form, story or joke/punchline form. A judge decides which is best which is isn't even really the point of the game for us. We just like making puns! The games subjects are a little American. Not so much if you know the basics about America like names of some of the states. The game suggests you have 90 seconds to think of your pun but sometimes it is so tricky that it would be fairly impossible to think something up. Sometimes we just wrote down whatever rubbish we had thought of to keep the game going. Also.. Some of the categories you can get are a little too similar to think of anything.. For example Vegetables and Farming. Overall quite funny but would probably be better with as many players on each team as Possible.Sitcoms + Raining = Friends: staring David Swimmer.

If you're not mad about puns, don't bother. It's a really great concept for a game, but I think you have to be very into your word play to find this fun. We loved it, but I have read a lot of bad reviews.

Very slow delivery. Good game, lots of fun but surprisingly difficult if you're not quick with puns.

Oh dear god. English knowledge is mandatory, but this is sooo amazing. This is how I measure now that I do speak English very well. And the groans from others are the best!

Purchased as a gift so can’t comment on gameplay but presentation box looked brill and it came well packaged.

Played it lots already, great addition to parties and socialising etc!Great concept and puns fly when you get into it.
