Although described as "Garnet", and I do believe it IS a garnet, it does not appear as classy as I thought. There is no opening behind the gem inside the ring, and the metal does not seem sterling silver.

Beautiful colored deep red stone.
Very nice ring, especially for the low cost. The stone seems to be set securely and is a nice deep red in color. Particularly nice was that Claire Jin sent me a free gift of a fluer de lis stainless steel ring. Very nice surprise and much appreciated. Made the price of the garnet stone ring even better!

Color not as vibrant as photos
Ring shipping time was changed after I ordered to a month later, but it arrived on the last day of the first predicted time. Ring looks nice and boyfriend likes it, but the faux garnet is so dark that you can't really tell what type or color stone it is until in bright light. There is also a metallic type iridescent coating over the stone which further changes/ muddles its look and color. It's a nice ring, but not as pretty as the photo.

This is a really nice ring for 3 times the price. Had my ring finger measured properly and the size 12 I ordered is a perfect fit. Shipping was a few weeks but it was well worth the wait. Came exactly as pictured. I recommend this ring.
